We are having about 18 people (14 adults 4 kids) over for the World Cup Final on Sunday, and while some are bringing snacks, I want to serve a few things.
What do you like to serve for parties? Only criteria is that it must be vegetarian (we're Kosher).
I'm making soccer ball sugar cookies, corn and avocado salsa, and hummus.

Spinach balls:
10 oz frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained 1 bag of pepperidge farm garlic onion croutons (or a similar product of a different brand) 3 eggs 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (the kind in the green tube works just fine) 1 stick butter, softened
Mix all that together, form into little balls about 1-1.5 inches in diameter. Bake on a jelly roll tray at 400 for 15 minutes. You can also freeze them on a tray and store them in a freezer bag to use later.
Veggie pizza. Get pillsbury biscuit dough but lay it out flat in a pan to cook. After the crust is done, top it with cream cheese and cut up your fav veggies. I usually do broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, onions. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. It's always a favorite.

I like the little kabobs of fresh motz, tomatoes, and basil with balsamic drizzled over. The name of it is escaping me right now.
Do you carry in pizza? When I was a teen and my step dad kept kosher he would allow corned beef from the deli in our house but not cheese pizza. I tried to point out that the slicer also cut cheese at the deli and he wanted no part of my argument. I'm always curious about what other people do who keep kosher.
Mexican dip! Every time I make this it is gone in 15 min
1 block cream cheese 1 jar of Newmans Own peach salsa (can use reg salsa if you like) 1 bag shredded taco cheese
In a glass dish (pie plate works well) spread cream cheese on bottom. Layer salsa, then add cheese on top. Heat in microwave or oven till cheese is melted. Serve with tortilla chips.

We keep kosher, so we will have meat from the kosher butcher/supermarket. We will eat pizza without meat in our house. That no cheese byt corned beef thing doesn't make sense! Was it kosher meat?
Thanks forall the suggestions! I love the idea of a nacho bar, but I can't figure out how to do the cheese. Is it tacky to ask people to microwave their nachos to melt the cheese?
Veggie tray with sour cream/ranch packet. Fruit with marshmellow fluff and cream cheese dip. Kids love that stuff. Fresh watermellon. Not sure about a main course.

No. From a Jewish type deli. I think he sort if wrote his own rules. He was an ass but it was helpful when I moved out on my own that we had 4 sets of everything so my kitchen had everything I needed. Ironic that I hated keeping kosher but then became a vegetarian so it wouldn't have bothered me anyway.
Tell me more about a nacho bar people! What cheese do you melt and keep in the crock pot? What toppings do you put out? What else goes with a taco bar as some sides?

We've done taco bar but it's pretty much the same
We had: In crocks: Shredded chicken Beef Cheese sauce Refried beans
To top: Shredded cheese for non sauce lovers Shredded lettuce JalapeƱo Black olives Chopped onions and tomatoes and peppers Sour cream Black beans
Chips, taco shells, soft shells, large leaf lettuce for low carbers
I love this appetizer in the summer. It's a croissant crust with cream cheese/ranch spread on top and fresh veggies. I'm sorry I don't know if it can be made Kosher. m.allrecipes.com/recipe/16756/vegetable-pizza-i
Taco dip. Onion dip. Caprese skewers Veggies and dip Pretzels with mustards Cannoli dip. Cherpumple.
I really like dip, as you can tell.
LOL I see what you did there.
And I'm NEVER making that again. It was like 3 days of work and tasted kind of obscene.
Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone! @stpete gets bonus points for the correct usage of the word "pareve".
I am going to try the nacho bar b/c it sounds freaking delicious. I can't use a crockpot for cheese sauce, since our crock is reserved for meat only (kosher), but I'm going to brainstorm other ways of keeping cheese sauce warm during the party.
If I wasn't worried about becoming a very fetching skinsuit, I'd invite ML to our party.
