Friday night. Alcohol and randoms.

No wine, boo for me, but ice cream soon! I just finished putting DS to sleep in his toddler bed for the first time ever. Well, I think he's asleep, I'm going to sneak back in and check on him in 15-20 minutes.

He was so adorable. After I got him tucked in with the light off, he looked at me with these big round freaked out eyes. I asked him if he wanted me to stay and he said "uh huh" in the teensiest voice. So I sat next to the bed for almost an hour while he wiggled and looked around, asking him if I should stay every 5-10 minutes. "Uh huh." Finally, he reached up to pat my shoulder and give me a kiss. I asked him if I should stay and he said "Nuh uh" and pushed my shoulder toward the door. Sniff, my baybee is all grown up!!

I wish I was drinking, but all we have at home right now is Coors Light and bubbly. Not a Coors fan, and I can't drink a bottle by myself so the bubbly would be wasteful.

There are some loud ass fireworks going off right near my house right now. There is a county fairgrounds about a mile from here and the fair started Wednesday. I'm not actually watching them with H because FIL came over to watch in our backyard and I've had enough interaction with him for a year. Lol

Also, I want to shout with joy that our basement carpet is finally being re-installed tomorrow. I was thisclose to having a legit anxiety attack about the state of my home. Especially since C's bday party is here next weekend...and I already have enough anxiety about the fact that I haven't really planned the party yet. Ha.

DS3 has a fever and was clearly totally miserable earlier, so I caved and let him nap at 5pm. And now, of course, he is wide awake at 10:10, with no signs of being at all tired. This is why I hate late naps.

oh man you guys we went to the park tonight and DD was on the swings. NOT the baby swing but the open back one because I told DH she could handle it.

well she can handle it if you keep a close eye on her, which dh did not, and she fell off it wasn't far fortunately but I was freaked for a second that she broke something and we were going to end up in the ER the night before her party but THE PARTY MUST GO ON BECAUSE I HAVE SPENT MONEY AND PREPARED FOOD AND GOODY BAGS ALREADY! That probably makes me a bit of a crap mom that I was worried about her being injured ruining the party more than, you know, her being HURT.

also dh disappeared for a bit this evening after putting DD down and I went upstairs to find him reading his bible in the dark.

never a good thing when i find him like that it usually means he's gonna have a breakdown and cry soon about something i likely cannot fix, and i am a fixer so blahhhh. He had a bad day at work and there is not much I can do to boost his ego when it comes to engineering things about which I know nothing.

My husband got home from work tonight and asked me if my mom mopped the kitchen floor while she was here with DD today. I sent her a text and asked her. She said that she doesn't like to just sit around while the little one napped, plus she spilled something on the floor.

I might need to accidentally leave a basket of laundry out in the open next Friday.

I got my first postpartum period tonight. I guess that explains why I got frisky with H about two weeks ago. I guess it's a good thing we found a condom?

I can't be too upset on the period front because DD will be 14 months next week. But still. No gracias.

I just went off on my husband and I can't decide if I feel guilty about it or not, lol. I told him I was going to bed (at almost 1 am, way, way too late), and he said "are you really that tired?" At which point I told that motherfucker that yes, in fact, I am that tired. Because, oh, I don't know, I've had one full night of sleep in the last several months. And then he proceeded to tell me that he doesn't get enough sleep either. So I told him to get the fuck out of here with that bullshit and to never tell me he was tired again, lol. I do think my anger was a bit displaced, but he really needs to just not talk to me about sleep right now.

I had a crazy day. I listed my house for rent and mid packing we got two showing requests and then I couldn't find my car keys. It was too hot for a walk but the car seat was locked in my car so we just sat in my moms car in the neighborhood til they left. Then I found out the potential renters have two huge dogs. We listed as new pets but the agent forgot to ask. I'm really starting to get annoyed with her.

That was pretty much the only word I could utter out loud at that hour. It didn't help that I had made plans to run with my sister at 615 then meet up with my running group at 7...so I got up at 530. After falling asleep at 330. It's going to be a long day.
