Seriously, you're going to have to ask passing pedestrians to help with your anxiety attacks. "Pardon me, good sir. Do you have a paper bag I can hyperventilate into?"
You know what sucks, is I can't tell you how many people we have had pull up to the hospital like that and mom is 1cm. You always have to assume baby is falling out, but more often than not people are just dramatic. I can see why dad didn't think they needed to stop sooner, because in between contractions she seemed relatively calm.

The most alarming thing about this is that the dad is filming it while he is driving.
EDIT: apparently I didn't read the part that the camera was strapped to his head. I amend my statement to say, it's pretty cool that he got the birth on film. This sort of thing doesn't bother me.

Yep Shit like this is why my H spent the whole day trying to rush me to the hospital with my third and when I finally have in, they almost sent me home but decided to keep me because I was 4cm.
Why did I watch this?? This is why I scheduled an induction for the day after my due date, I have zero desire to go into labor on my own. I want all the drugs in a controlled environment please.

I wonder what # kid that was for them. I assume it was at least #2 since they had a forward facing convertible seat in the back. I wonder how her first birth(s) went?

Really cool video!
I was curious too so I googled. It apparently is #3 and she was 42 weeks pregnant.
And for the record, I did NOT make noises like that during labor. Even when I was at the end. I expected that I would because so many women do (and a woman next door did while I was in the early stages of labor!) but I just didn't. Every labor, every woman is so different.
I screamed like a fucking banshee. Screamed and cried and cursed. Really.
Eta: the 2 without epis. The 1 with an epi was much quieter

It seems like people who are overdue have really fast labors. Which freaks me out because I was due 10 days ago.
That settles it. No more babies for House Destroyer. It's amazing how quickly one forgets what labor is like.
I thought for sure I remembered exactly what it was like, but while watching this I commented to H that I didn't make noises like that. And he was all "Um yes. Yes you did. This is exactly how you sounded."

Fuck.
Yep. Like Grace, I made all the noises and then some.

I think in the thread earlier this week there was a comment that she was a childbirth educator, so perhaps in spite of the pain she wasn't freaking out?
