Fucking Jimmy John's drew a delivery line approximately one block away from my house. They won't deliver to my house because it's past The Line. Epic pickles, indeed.
Recipe? My H made some last week and they were...not good. Lol
I usually wing it but here are some rough measurements. I make a gallon all on at a time so I can just pour some over when I bring in pickling cucumbers.
1 cup kosher salt 2 quarts water 2 quarts white vinegar large bunch of dill cut in 4" segments 10 cloves fresh garlic cut in half
Mix everything together in a gallon pitcher or jar. I just leave it sitting out and stir every 30 minutes or so until all of the salt is dissolved the refrigerate.
Cut up pickle cucumbers however you like (I prefer slices longways...think Vlasic stackers.). Put them in the container of your choice, I use 32 oz deli containers, and cover with brine. Be sure to include some of the dill and garlic. Store them in the fridge. They are ready to eat in 3 days but get better with time. We've kept them for 6 months and they were still just fine.
