I put out Tostitos, along with bowls of diced onions, jalapenos, salsa, chopped avocado, sour cream, beans, and diced tomatoes. Then I made a cheese sauce and kept it warm in our fondue pot. I used this recipe: www.food.com/recipe/nacho-cheese-sauce-207002
I couldn't eat it b/c I'm still off dairy, but everyone else enjoyed it.

"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
Also, I used a black edible marker for this, but it made me wonder. Every time I've tried to do dark icing/frosting (cookies or cakes) I can't get it dark enough without altering the taste. I've never done black b/c I can't get it black enough. Dark red? Forget it? I always end up with pink. How do you do it with your royal icing?

What kind of dye are you using? The best is the americolor gels. They're highly concentrated and vibrant. A little goes a LONG way!

I have a mix of Wilton and Americolor gels. But if I need to made black or dark red, for example, I feel like it takes SO much to get the deep color I need.
