I couldn't survive in your climate, I am such a miserable bitch when I'm hot. I just took a cold shower before bed. This past winter was horrifying but I generally prefer winter to summer. Summer is only nice in Nantucket or the like.

I creepily just looked up the weather in your part of FL Tamn. 92 degrees w/ 68% humidity. Damn. Does it get worse?? I can remember the humidity in Kentucky and Iowa as a kid and especially that suffocating feeling in my grandmother's garage but I've never been to the South,

Humidity will be the death of me. DH grew up in NC and I always told him how insane the humidity was and he didn't understand. Until I took him home with me to CA in July one year. Then when we got back to NC and stepped outside he was nearly drowning in the humidity. He was all "Ohhh I get it now!"

We're supposed to be around 86% humidity today.
I didn't really get it til we lived in Oklahoma for a few years. It's hot out there, but without the humidity, it's tolerable. It's so miserable here, and the heat AND humidity should be illegal. .
Everyone up here will say things about it being hot and I just give them a slow stare. Until they have lived in the south with a small child....you don't know hot.

Seriously. In CA we could easily make it to 105 by 12pm, BUT it was a dry heat. An we always had a bit of a cool delta breeze. Annnnd it was cold in the morning and night and gave us a break. In the south, we get no breeze and it's hot and sticky all through the night and into the morning.

I was just having this conversation with J last night. He's from San Diego and said it's so much suffering!

Not Florida. Sorry, y'all.
No humidity in Colorado.
(I don't actually know how true that is but I just want you to move soooooo....)
I think I made a semi deal with B that once our kids are grown we will move far far away... but that's going to take a while
