H and I were just talking about this. I was 14 and it was the first day of my freshman year. A friend told me and my BFF that there was a new boy in the sophomore class. On break we went searching to check him out. We saw him at the end of the hall by the vending machines. He was wearing jeans and a gray shirt with maroon writing. I looked at my BFF and said "dibs". LOL
We didn't start dating until I was 20, but I will never forget that moment.
"Damn he's hot." Only a few moments after we started talking I got this insane feeling of I'm going to marry this guy. He apparently got the same "sense" about me.
Oh! It was at a Halloween party at my apartment in 2002. There was a ton of people there but I thought he was sooo hot . I asked my friend (who invited him) who he was the next day. I had a boyfriend at the time so it wasn't the right time but we started dating nine months later.
We knew of each other because we both played kickball, but didn't officially meet until Halloween. He was dressed as Carrot Top so my first thought was "I wonder what he looks like without that big red wig" lol!
Give us your best Sim romance, i.e. "Well Destiny Bonehammer was hunting for ghosts in the cemetery after robbing the local museum and she bumped into Donald Burgers who was digging in that same cemetery for scrap metal for one of his inventions. They talked about goopy carbonara and sailboats and he told her some jokes and hugged her, then they started making out. The rest they say is history."

I was at a tapas place in San Francisco with a bunch of people that for the most part, I hardly knew -- a friend from college had gotten together a bunch of her friends so that I'd know some people when I moved to the Bay Area. I'd just bent over to rummage in my purse, looked up and saw DH walking through the restaurant in our direction.
For a minute, I thought he was Stiffler from American Pie, lol. And thought he was way too good looking to possibly be joining our little group. Then he sat down.
We hit it off that night in a major way. He offered to give me a tour of the Bay area a couple of days later, we spent the entire day together and he recreated it when he proposed a year and a half later.
ETA: The really funny thing was, we'd gone to the same small school for undergrad and never met, but had a bunch of mutual friends, including the girl who introduced us -- and my younger sister, who knew DH before I did.

Spring semester, freshman year. We were just getting out of ROTC training and he was letting people know of a party at his fraternity house. He was in his uniform. I thought he was really cute but out of my league, plus I was dating someone else, so I wasn't as interested. Come fall semester though, he added me on FB and we ended up dating in September been together since!
I was in grad school, start of my second year. It was the first day of class and I was running late. I snuck in and went to sit in the last row (stadium seating). As the prof was going over the syllabus, I was looking around the room to see which familiar faces were in my class. I recognized several classmates, and then my eyes landed on DH. I had never had a class with him before. I stared at him the entire session. Lol
I saw his cute headshot in his humor column in our college newspaper. His humor and wit was an added bonus. Then we met in one of our journalism classes, and I thought he was cute in person.
Before we went on an actual date, I invited him to a party at our house. When he arrived, I told my friend, "That guy in the red shirt? He's my future husband."
I met DH at my friends parents house when I was 19. I had a bf at the time and he was FWB with friends sister.
He didn't know that I had a boyfriend at the time so he told his FWB it was over and starting trying to "run into me" at places he know my friend and I hung out.
But I broke up with my bf about a week after we had met, for reasons unrelated to DH. It was a horrible breakup so I secluded myself for a month or so, the night I came out of hiding I ran into DH.

I was bartending and he was a pretty regular customer. I thought he was attractive. But I wasn't looking for anything at all.
Him and his BFF started sitting on my end of the bar and we would bull shit and had fun so we would hang out after I got off and have a few beers. The more we hung out the more I liked him because we have the same sense of humor and I was like this dudes hot.
One night they wanted me to meet them at another bar when I got off but I ended up working later than usual so I asked another coworker for his number and i texted him to let him know and asked of he wanted to come hang out and have some beers at my place when he was done
I didn't really think we would hook up or anything it was a legit hey let's hang out and drink bruh kinda deal. He came over and we drank and talked for hours and we had one of those like oh holy shit I think we're gonna Kiss moments. It was like one of those kisses that makes everything else stop. It was lovely.
Then we started seeing each other but I didn't want a boyfriend so I called him my fake boyfriend for months because im an asshole.
He and his frat brother tried to sign up me and some friends for their powder puff football game. He was flirtatious with us but I was like "soooo not my type". I saw him quite a bit more at different parties an events, never thinking anything about him except he was a nice guy but nerdy as hell.
We worked in neighboring shops at a small mall. My first thought was, "Hey, who's the cute new nerd at the internet cafe*?"
We were good friends for a few years before dating; I once joked to my sister that one of us had to marry him because he was such an awesome guy. Clearly it was less of a joke than I thought at the time.
Sophmore year, H and I had English class together. For some weird reason the teacher had a couch in her class. The only two things I remember about H was that him and I once got kicked out of class together for talking too much when she told us to stop, and I also remember him and I wrestling on the couch. When we were wrestling, I got major butterflies. That doesn't happen to me. Like ever. I took note of it then and I took note of it again when he gave me butterflies when we ran into each other 10 years later.

Don't remember, to be honest. We had known each other in passing through work for a few years, enough to say hi but not really converse. When a mutual friend set us up, I was like, "Oh yeah, I recognize him," but I hadn't known his name.

We met on Match and spoke on the phone first. Right away I noticed his THICK Boston accent. I mean like an extra from The Town. Even though I have an accent I usually pronounce my R's. I kind of had a thing against thick accents but he was so damn funny and charming so we made a date. When he walked into the bar I was like damn that guy is tall! (6'5")
I went out with my friends for their bowling league night. When I got there, I looked down at where he was sitting and noticed two things immediately/ 1. Damn, this guy has the most incredible blue eyes and 2. I looked down his shirt and saw his hairy chest and thought, "double damn. I haven't had sex in a really long time."

We met through a personal ad in a magazine back before online even existed. I had heard from so many fucking weirdos ("I think I'll call you 'Victoria'"; and, "I'm on extended vacation in upstate NY" postmarked a town with a prison [never mind the ones that came stamped on the outside "prisoner correspondence"]; and, "Yeah, I'm in prison, but I guarantee it wasn't for rape or murder" just scratches the surface) and I told my bff I wasn't going to reply to any more. She thought one was such a perfect match she said if I didn't call him she was going to call and pretend to be me. So I called when I was sure he'd be at work (if he even had a job) and we ended up getting together for dinner. At the end of dinner he was all, "I'm going to be travelling for work for a couple of weeks, so you won't hear from me for a while" and I wanted to shake him and in my head was all "Goddammit, man, if you don't want to call me just say you won't call me. Don't say 'It might be a couple of weeks.'" Two weeks later he got back from his actual work trip and we got together again and the rest is history! (heart)

I went to a party at the apartment of the guy my best friend was dating. H was in the living room playing his guitar and singing. I thought "Look at this douche trying to get girls with his guitar skills." Lol.
apalettepassion.wordpress.com/ WHO IS BONQUIQUI!?!?!?!??!
"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
I don't actually remember the first time I met him. We met freshman year as friends of friends and kind of stayed that way for 4 years. The first one-on-one conversation I ever had with him was freshman year: I was working at the school's banquet facilities and his social club was having a function. He stayed out side to talk to me for a few minutes. I know at that point we knew each other (which is why he stopped to say hi), but since he was already dating a friend of mine, he wasn't on my radar at all other than just a nice guy who was friends with some of my friends.
The first time I saw him, my H came busting up into my boss's office and yelled at him: "if you want something built you have to fill out a maintenance request, just like EVERYBODY else! I'm short handed and have a schedule to keep and you can wait in line just like EVERYBODY ELSE!"
My eyes were big as saucers and I was scared shitless of him because NOBODY talked to my boss like that; everyone treated him like he walked on water because he was the head of engineering and held all these process patents and stuff. I figured my H was about to get fired, so even though he was this huge, yelling monster, ohh well, didn't give him another thought.
Then, he started eating lunch in the smoking break room with me and my friend Taylor. He never said a word, just sat there with T & I every single day, and I figured he had a crush on T (she is very pretty, young, tall, etc.), and I called him out and asked him if he was going to talk, or just sit there. He didn't say anything, but started emailing me later that day, and he cracked me up. He was a little creeper-ish, but apparently back then I had a thing for weirdos and I figured he'd be fun to hang out with. I wasn't really looking for a "boyfriend," as I was still recovering from having just ended a relationship with another lunatic and had kind of started going out with yet another bag of crazy. I thought he was 30 ish, but turns out he was only 22. I was 37.
He emailed me to ask me out on our first date. Once it got out that we were dating, my boss would make me call my H up and ask him to get my boss's projects done first, like kind of pimp me out to get ahead in line. He was such a douche.
I was 14 and he was 12 the first time we met - his sister and I are close friends, we met in high school, and in 9th grade her dad was driving us to a local teen club night (lol). H came along for the ride, but sat in the front seat so I don't really remember anything.
FF to 2005. His sister and I had lost contact when our families moved in 2001, but we'd recently stated talking again. It was two weeks before Christmas and I went to her house to pick her up to go shopping. H answered the door and my central nervous system went all haywire for a sec, ha. It was the most bizarre thing. At the time, though, I was kind of seeing two different guys so I shut it down and went on my way.
Long story short, H and I became friends over the months, and by September we were a couple.
We were in the same fifth grade class but I'm sure I saw him before then in school. When we were in fourth grade he puked in the hallway at the end of the day and I do remember that day so maybe it was then? LOL. No idea.
