We did the WGBH Funfest saturday which the kids have been talking about forever. They had a great time. Sunday we had swim then we met with friends for lunch and they came over afterwards so that was fun. And inbetween everything we went to the park and the kids had water battles with park friends.
I'm still bummed I missed this! I'm sure you guys had a freakin blast.
My weekend was pretty great though. Friday night I saw Michael Buble with my mom and it was awesome! That man puts on a SHOW. He is so so cute.
Saturday we had lunch with FI's sister and nephew and finished up making some 'props' for our pictures.
Sunday was engagement pictures! I got my hair did and did my makeup, and despite the heat and humidity I think I look damn good. I brought along some stuff for a picnic and some pies (for pi day, get it?), and the photographer thought it was the coolest idea ever and said she was definitely submitting some pics to a few wedding blogs. I'll see if I can post a teaser shot here for a limited time.

I wish I could have made the GTG, it sounds like it was a blast!
Saturday I was supposed to go to a friend's house but the plans fell apart. So DH and I ended up getting a few projects done around the house including putting another shelf up in the closet so we can actually fit all our clothes in our closet/bureaus. Then we relaxed by the pool and got some yard work done.
Saturday night we ended up going out for our wedding anniversary (which is today) at Ceia in Newburyport and it was delicious and amazing.
Sunday we lounged around and did some errands. Then we visited the IL's and went to my dad's for dinner.
All in all a good relaxing weekend which we both needed. Sadly DH is leaving tomorrow for almost 2 weeks for a business trip, its going to be rough especially since my dog's daycare is closed for the next two weeks due to a breakout of kennel cough.
ETA - Awkward your pictures sound so cute! Please post!
I had such a great weekend. I went to Shabbat services on Friday and schmoozed with other young adults. Saturday was the trapeze class, which was so much fun. I definitely want to do the outdoor class with RockNVoll and anyone else who would like to join in. Later that day I met up with the guy I'm dating. We walked around downtown and eventually found ourselves in a nice bar. We stopped off at a friend's party afterward, then picked up Chinese food for a super late dinner. Sunday we went to SoWa, sampled food from the trucks, and explored the market, boutiques, and artists' studios.

The weekend was awesome! I'm bummed it is Monday.
Saturday's GTG was so much! It was great to catch up with everyone! After that, H and I did a bunch of errands/cleaning at home. It was nice to have a catch up day and finally get the house in order (it has been a disaster lately).
Sat night we went out for an awesome dinner and sat outside. It was a perfect summer evening treat.
Funny les, Sunday we were planning to do the SOWA market, but changed plans at the last minute (maybe next weekend!). We drove to Concord and had lunch at a cute place. We are thinking about changing our front door, so we were checking out houses for inspiration. We hit Home Depot on the way home for more door shopping.
I guess it was pretty uneventful weekend, but it was so relaxed and awesome! One of my favorite things in the summer is hearing the wind through the leaves, so the wind on Sunday just made me happy.
Great weekend, even if I played single mom the whole time.
GTG was so much fun. Thanks for letting me bring Miss S with me. We were both so tired when we got home, we both crashed for an hour or so.
Sunday we did some major retail therapy and S got 2 new pairs of Hello Kitty shoes. She is in heaven. She had a meltdown in the evening, but I figure 99% of the weekend was awesome, I can handle that. She is very excited, because I plan to take her to the beach the weekend of the 26th (I'm open to recs) and we're going up to NH when Daddy goes to "war".

I would definitely be in for the next trapeze play date, I'm sorry I missed it! We had a fabulous time on the cape last week including a much needed date night to celebrate our sixth anniversary. We drove back to Lynn on Saturday and headed up to Salem NH for a friends pool party that same day. Sunday was relaxing and the baby and I came back to NY today.
Great weekend, even if I played single mom the whole time.

I am sorry I missed meeting S! My boys love Jordan's.
For beaches, Iike Marshfield beaches but many you need to luck out and find street parking. I am going to Nantasket this weekend with the boys (Sun).
North Shore, my fave is Crane Beach in Ipswich. 22 to park but worth it. Same thing with Wingearsheek in Gloucester. Salisbury State Park beach is good too. I also love Plum Island.
Plymouth and Onset have good beaches and the water may be a little warmer, but can't recall specifics right now.
Thanks for the recs! We've been to Nantasket, the only issue is high tide is around noon when we want to go, so we'll have to go super early or late if we want any beach time. We may default to that, but it's nice to have options

How funny! SoWa was fun, although it was really hot out. We were only there for an hour and a half. I'm glad you had a nice weekend!
