I went to see the fertility specialist Friday. It was a very positive appointment. He read the HSG report and did not like the way it was written. He said it was almost contradicting. He did not like the procedure the Dr. used to perform the HSG. Something about using a balloon which makes it so you can only see the bottom half the uterus. He also said the report did not say I had a uterine septum contrary to what my ob/gyn said.
He wants me to have the HSG done again but at his office. He also wants to do an ultrasound. Because I conceived really easy the first time around and had an easy pregnancy and birth, he does not believe there is really anything wrong. He does not think there is a uterine septum or blocked fallopian tube. But will do the tests to confirm. I explained to him about my short LP and he gave me progesterone suppositories to start next cycle. After like my 5th failed cycle I felt like the short LP could ultimately be the issue. I'm hoping this is the case and am so glad he gave me the progesterone.
I felt really great after that appointment. Almost like a new person. I had such a nervous stomach before my appt. I really liked this doctor. I felt like he was really listening to me.
Oh and toward the end of the appointment he asked me if I was a nurse. I am not. So a shout out to this board for making me sound educated on the topic. lol
Yikes, that's crazy the results could be interpreted so wrong. I will keep that in mind since I have an HSG scheduled tomorrow. I think my doc is scheduled to be there so hopefully that helps. I Hope good news is in your future!
