Anyone got anything?
Overheard at work: "Yeah, I just go breakfast from Taco Bell. I had 2,200 calories for breakfast. I don't feel like doing anything." Really? I am somehow not at all surprised. It's days like this, that I am reminded that for smart people (investment bankers), they really lack common sense.

I enjoy adult beverages more than H does. I've known this as long as we've been together. There have been numerous occasions where I want to have a drink, and he just doesn't want one so I have one by myself. Last night, I had my mind set on finishing painting the front door. I had the prep work done, we had dinner and I was free to focus on getting the door painted...then H says he's going to make a drink! Of all nights he wants a drink, he waits until I have a project I'm determined to finish! Men.

The H got stung by some bees yesterday, one on the arm and one right on the chin! He had a little puffiness going on but seems to be okay. He lost the pad-tip of his earbuds though, while waving around to shoo them off, so now I guess I've got to find him another pair. The other guy he was with got stung 4 times, including once on the butt (through his shorts!).

That sucks! At least he's not coaching high school right now. I can imagine asshole teenagers poking fun at him for the chin sting.
OrangePixyStix - your poor H! I hope they heal up quickly.
I have had a headache for over a week now. I am starting to get annoyed.
I am doing a sweets/dessert table for my friends bridal shower and have been baking every night this week. I always go home with big ambitious plans, but then have a nap and end up only making one thing. If I just skipped the nap, I could get more baking done, but I would much rather have a nap and bake slowly.

I finished the Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy, as well as the accompanying Novella. Since I had to wait long periods between the books, I forgot a lot of the story. I started reading book 1 again yesterday and am already 1/4 of the way through. Can't say how many pages, but on my kindle location it is over 5000.
Speaking of waiting long periods between books, I wish George RR Martin would get to the finishing up already. There is SO much detail in GoT I can only imagine what I am going to be forgetting between book 1 and book 6. NEVER MIND book 7.
The largest free arts festival in the country is being set up directly outside my office window. I don't know why this stage needs so many drum level sound checks, but OMG STOP. I think I'll be going out for lunch today.
(This has happened every summer for the 7 years I've worked here but I still reserve the right to complain about it )

A funny story about our dog, with the explanation of he like regular peanuts and peanut butter. Apparently, you, however, cannot combine the two. We normally have creamy peanut butter at home, so we've never had a reason to learn this.
Last weekend, we were at my parent's house, and we were trying to keep him distracted, so my mom gave him the jar of chunky peanut butter that had a tiny bit left. He at first didn't want to touch it, presumably because of the nuts. He eventually did end up eating it, but when he was done, we looked at the bottom, and he had piled all of the peanuts in one spot, and licked everything else perfectly clean. I wish we had taken a picture of it, because it was pretty entertaining.

That's so funny! I love the little oddities of pets. I totally get where he's coming from though.

hahah, smart dog. Chunky peanut butter shouldn't even be made.
I think I'm going to order a microwave. I've lived without one for 5 months (left my old one w S because it's too big), but I have to admit it would be nice to heat up leftovers without turning on the oven.
Someone on SO mentioned blogilates, which I'd never heard of before, but I started her 4 week workout plan yesterday. Perfect timing for the lead up to Aruba (with my tiny 22 yo sister, lol)!
I'm in a piss shitty mood. My BIL upstairs decided to cancel my sisters cable shows. She has dementia and I pay him $40 to cover her $20 shows. I could strangle the SOB right now.
So I helped them with their computer and email. I helped his brother with his email in Nova Scotia [yeah I'm in Toronto]. And he goes and does this to my poor sister.
