Because when you have a newborn, your 18 month old will be cutting canines, which are basically devil fangs from hell.
Doesn't teething last like forever though? If we delay, we'll just hit the 2 year molars instead.
2 year molars, while rough, are nothing like the canines. As the pedi dentist explained those are the toughest strongest teeth we have so they hurt the most.
But, I can't really tell you not to do it because as you probably know, I had 3 kids 21mos and under lol.
I stopped at the outlets this morning and found great deals but the best part is that for the first time in years, I don't feel like I look horrible when I try stuff on. I can just buy stuff that I like again instead of stuff that hides things or camouflages or covers. Best feeling ever.
And so begins 9 months of checking the toilet tissue for blood every time I go to the bathroom. I spotted all through my 1st tri with DS, and had pre-term labor twice (gushing blood) in the last month. So I'm super paranoid about it. Ugh.
((Hugs)) I hate that!! I spotted with J and had a Mc before him so I was super paranoid the entire pregnancy with the girls. I just kept waiting for the spotting to start but it never did. I did have ptl though at 32w6d but thankfully made it to 36w4d.

I had a meeting way out in VA this morning, so I stopped at H's office on the way back and we had a lunch date. Then I went to Wegman's (@supergreen), where I never get to go bc it's so far, and the WINE. The only way in which VA beats MD.

((Hugs)) to you too! I'm so sorry about your Mc. I'm trying to remember to not worry about things outside of my control, like the spotting. But it's hard!
Side note, if DH says one more time, "try not to worry/stress/panic/whatever, it's bad for the baby" I am going to shank him. I've already cut a ton of stuff out of my diet, including my beloved sweets to hopefully ward off GD. Back offfff dude!

Interesting. I bet your kids will have a lot of fun playing together when they're a little older. No matter how much you plan these things, you can never predict having twins.

I really need to get my hands on some double bubble gum so I stop putting all the other freaking candy in my mouth. I am not even hunger- just trying to feed my double bubble addiction.
Yes, I am 41. Yes, I am addicted to double bubble. Yes, this is why I have avoided the dentist like the plague this year.

Sweet. I loooove Wegmans. LOVE IT. My weakness is the hot bar. Asian wokery, Indian, Thai, sushi. Get in mah belly!
I just went to a fab little Italian place and ate my weight in bread and pasta. I usually scoff at gluten-avoiders who are not celiac, but holy crap, I actually am noticing how terribly sluggish I feel. hmmmm.
I won a Nike dri-fit polo today. I never win anything. It's too bad I don't wear polos either or I'd be super excited.
Where did you go? Was it a place you'd recommend? I love little Italian places!
I booked a 3 day get away for H and I tacked on to a work conference in SF his fall. It was not cheap, but not horrible. The place can recommended by a fancy pants work acquaintance and includes outdoor space and an outdoor soaking tub. I am sure we could do something cheaper and it's not the best time to splurge. We currently own 2 houses and are fixing one up before we move in. I give no fucks. We need some time, have parents to watch Caramini, can afford it, and I want to drink wine in Napa, dammit!

It was called Guisseppe's - in a strip mall in New Brighton
DD1 recently asked me for more siblings. She told me that her brother and sister make her so happy and she loves them so much. I got a little teary when she told me that. I need to get her to say that on video so I can replay it for her in 6-7 yrs when she wails that they're ruining her life and her stuff. lol
That is the sweetest thing ever. It made ME tear up!

I kept reading this as a 3 day get away FROM your H. lol
Enjoy your trip! That sounds lovely!
Some days I need those too. I will have had multiple days of committee meetings and general conference non-fun and I want to have outdoor nooky and s'mores.
I started trying to put up a new light fixture in J's room but the wires were too short so I was having issues doing it. So now H and his grandfather have taken over and I'm sitting on my ass doing nothing.
I had 4 meetings today. And as if my before lunch meeting running until 1pm wasn't bad enough, some asshole was parked in my spot when I came back. Spots are reserved for a reason.
What the hell, body? I got my first PP period on July 6th and it lasted until July 10th. Apparently I'm starting PP period number two today...only 7 days later. Not OK, dude.
- Israel invading Gaza - airliner shot(?) down over Ukraine, this could lead to war - DH unexpectedly fired because his boss has hated him from day one (no really, put on a PIP on day 7). Even his co-workers are shocked; he'd gotten good reviews in the last 6 months, but his boss hates him and is upset they didn't hire someone in Switzerland like she wanted. They are paying him out PTO he didn't take and that's it. I'm so angry.
I'm sorry LM. That is so awful and stressful. I hope he finds something even better very soon!
Someone tell me some reasons not to have kids too close together! Alternately, tell me why 18-month spacing is amazing. DH and I can't stop talking about having a second kid, and DD is only 8.5 months. We know in our heads that we're planning a 2-year spacing, so we have to wait at least a couple more months, but somehow waiting is getting really hard. We can't even start TTC now and assume it will take a few months, since we basically got pregnant on the second try last time.
We started ttc when DD1 was 8mo...it took a long time to get pg though. They ended up 27.5 mo apart. DD2 had colic & DD1 was potty training simultaneously. That first year sucked the life out of me. But if you can handle a year of hell potentially, then go for it! ever since having the 2yrs apart has been amazing...best friends, companions, playmates, helpers. they are extremely close. i accidentally got pg again when DD2 was a year old....the first year of having all 3 I honest to God thought I was gonna have a nervous breakdown. I SAH with them in a house i hated with no family around in a city i barely knew. it was horrible...but again, after surviving that year, it got pretty great.
I received my free medela pump from the insurance provider today and I'm pleasantly surprised. From the descriptions online, I thought it would just be the pump with parts but it came in its own bag like the PISA but uglier with khaki material and black piping. The bag has a cooler and ice packs and also two other compartments for parts etc. yay for free ACA stuff!
@littlemoxie I am so sorry, I hope your DH is able to find something soon, but glad he seems to be taking it ok.
DD1 has learned how to braid, so for the past couple nights she will sit and braid my hair, it's very relaxing. I end up with 3-5 braids in my hair though, pretty stylish Oh, and DD2 now wants to try, I guess braiding Mommy is more fun than the Barbie head they have, lol.

DH got home this afternoon from his work trip. He picked DD up from daycare and when I got home, he did exactly what I predicted he would do. "Well, I tried to make her take a nap but she didn't want to so we went for a walk." He is always trying to force her to nap! LOL. Eventually she did nap and he did too and when she woke up he sighed like "I'm so tired from going out to eat and getting shit faced every night for the past 4 nights." Give me a break. But it's nice for him to be back. There will just be an adjustment period.
