1 hour and 15 minutes left in my shift and then a 3 day weekend! Woo hoo!
It's my birthday today and it started out with a father of a new admit walking into the NICU and yelling at me and everyone else. Yayyy...(sarcasm)
I'm having lunch with my favorite old coworker today and then having a date night with H. This is the first time we've gone out on my birthday in 5 years thanks to the military and my work schedule last year. Then I'm going to DFW for a bridal shower, getting a hotel for Saturday night, and relaxing/vegging out.
Today is H's birthday. He's requested chipotle for lunch and dinner with his parents tonight. I'm trying to get as much of my homework done this morning before bringing him lunch as possible so that I can hopefully finish before dinner. If you see me posting any more on here today please yell at me.
Happy Birthday MrsAggie! Sounds like you have a wonderful weekend ahead of you!
awick14- Happy napping! Hope the rest of your shift goes okay!
bk1- Good luck with the house this weekend! Hope you guys make good progress! I cannot wait for you to be done and moved in!
jjwritergirl- Sounds like you have a fun and busy weekend! Hope you can time nursing okay and make it to church on Sunday!
grover- Happy Birthday to your DH! Hope you are able to get your homework done and enjoy celebrating with your DH and ILs today/tonight!
Working from home today! I did not sleep well last night so a nice, long nap is definitely in my future! DH and I are going to rent a movie for tonight.
Tomorrow DH needs to paint our new front door. Then we will head to his parents house to tell them the news from Monday. On the way home, we are stopping by BRU and registering.
Not much planned for Sunday. Hoping we make it to church...we haven't been much since May due to being out of town and super busy.
I am looking forward to my massage tonight after work! Ahhh sweet relaxation. The rest of the weekend is going to be hanging out at the house and doing whatever we feel like.
Tonight I am going to lounge around and watch horror flicks on Netflix after I do housework and get a workout in. Possibly open a bottle of wine, but I say that every Friday and I never do lol.
Saturday not much going on. Hopefully this is DH's last weekend of mandatory OT.
Sunday we are going to a winery for my friend's birthday. We are bringing a bunch of food and relaxing. DH and I may cut out a little early so we can go to another winery that we got an invitation to do a "out of the barrel" tasting. We find it interesting to taste the difference between aged and "baby" wines.
MrsAggie Happy Happy Birthday. Your weekend sounds so splendid!
bk1 That will be SO nice when that's all complete!
jjwritergirl Your weekend sounds fabulous. Have a great time in the Box seats. Little M's first baseball game <3 take some family pics up there!
Everyone else whose lounging and relaxing all weekend, that sounds wonderful!
I'll be working most of the weekend, so on downtime I'm sure I'll just relax, clean a bit and scrapbook! Nothing to exciting for us this weekend! I'm envious of all your other plans haha
katespade Good luck getting those papers done. I had high hopes on avoiding procrastination this summer seeing as how I'm off from teaching and have all this time to focus...HAHAHA. Anyway, I have two papers due Tuesday for the same class with a third paper for the class due the next week. I've started all three! But, after interviewing the people I had to interview for them, I set the notes aside and that is now all I have completed. However, I'm making progress so far this morning!
By the time my brownies were done last night I didn't want them anymore, so I just had one now.
MIL showed up at the house yesterday to work while my mom and I were there. I was just showing my mom what we had gotten done. MIL text me last night saying she got the closets painted, sealant on a spot on the cabinets that needed it, and "see if you can tell what else I started working on. Hee hee. I bet you can " So I'm excited to go over this afternoon and work and see what she did.
I have already took a 1.5 hour nap this morning just because I could.
I love that everyone seems to have such great plans!
I have to go into work today to use the machines--I am so worried I seriously screwed my machine up when it fell yesterday. Mil has a backup machine I can use, but I can't get it until tomorrow.
But I ran with my new group this morning and I feel fantastic! Tomorrow is cleaning up the yard and maybe wine tasting? Yay weekend!
We got the keys to our new place today, so we're going to start moving some stuff in this weekend! Today we also have to take a trip to the Apple store, so maybe we'll get dinner out.
Tomorrow we're watching my sisters dogs and then going to the local pride parade.
Tomorrow? Chores and Church. Not sure what we'll do when I get out of church.
Sunday: Projects on the new house. Trying to convince DH to do something for his birthday this weekend. (It's actually on Wednesday.) His family just didn't make a big deal out of birthdays so I struggle with what to do each year. I've surprised him with things some years and some years I've just made a cake/cupcakes and that was that.
@mrsmb that's the same as my H. His family never does big things for birthdays and grew up without out a lot of "fun" or surprises on his birthday. I now feel the need to be extravagant for him to make up for his bad childhood birthdays.. But it's hard to keep thinking of things!

My hubby's b-day is Tuesday Similar to yours, he doesn't like anything extravagant. I don't yet know what we'll do this year.
Yeah....I've done a big suprise party (years ago) which he hated....didn't like a lot of attention nor a big event. The years we've kept it simple and gone to the lake have been OK....I"m working on something similar since that's the only thing he's been "eh" about. One year I surprised him and took him horseback riding. He HATED that I had something booked for us to do on his off day...but once we got there and he realized what was going on, he was OK with it.
I really resent that his family didn't honor birthdays because he almost is OK with just letting the day go by. It makes me sad....but it is what it is.
@mrsmb I also resent his family for this (And a few other things lol) but it's annoying to know that they never made them/him feel special on his birthday. I'm with you! Oh my H would hate a big surprise party too.. In my family birthdays were such a big deal and special. It's hard for me to fathom otherwise. At least we know we try hard!

My day today includes waiting for the UPS guy to deliver my package since when he came yesterday and no one was home, instead of leaving it in between the doors LIKE THEY ALWAYS DO he left one of those "we attempted to deliver your package" notes. WTF dude. It's definitely not anything that has to be signed for or really has much value but I need it so just leave my freaking package.
Nothing exciting on tap for my weekend, maybe we'll go to the beach.

Beach sounds nice. Please go and take pics for weekend PIP so that I can live vicariously through you.

I'll try to remember but I pretty much never take photos of anything so the odds aren't good
