All. The. Time. J will not sit in a wet diaper. I tried counting how many times I changed him one day and stopped counting after 12. But, he would sit in poop all day long.
Every time we notice it is wet. We never go more than 2 hours at home maybe a little more if we are out.
My cousin told me I was crazy for "wasting" 3 diapers in 4 hours. I just think about how I wouldn't like to sit in urine so why leave my baby in it when I know it's wet.
We still use swaddlers at 10 months just so I can tell if they are wet or not.

I change her before and after every nap, plus any time it feels extra full during the day. I really don't think she cares about her diaper at all - wet, dirty, overflowing, it doesn't bother her :?
We use cloth. Every 2-3 hours unless a slightly shorter or longer time syncs up better with naps / leaving the house / bedtime / etc. I like him to always have a fresh diaper before a nap, and I'd rather change him on the way out the door to minimize the chance of needing to change him on the go.

Only if it needs to be changed. If it feels full or if she pooped.
The diapers wick the urine away, so it's not like she's sitting in a pair of wet underwear or something.
I change first thing in the morning, then she usually poops in the morning so I change it then. I change her before nap, then after nap. She usually poops again before dinner, then of course I change her before bed. If she pees a lot and the diaper feels full, I'll change it, but generally I change for poop and before and after sleeping.
When she poops or when it looks bulgy. Mostly when she poops bc she is a frequent pooper and likes to start telling me "no poo poo" as soon as she poops.

Another chiming in for 2-3 hours unless I can tell it's dirty before that. We cloth and I don't think he could go much longer than that because he's a heavy the wetter. The few times he has (longer than expected nap or bad timing) has resulted in pee everywhere.
I try to change him every 2 hours (or within 5 mins of poop). Fortunately when he's in cloth I remember more frequently just because we risk leaks (he's a heavy wetter so if he pees in a diaper twice it leaks). In disposables we sometimes forget to change him after his nap so the diaper will be on from like 12:30pm to 6 parents of the year.
I wish he'd complain and remind us, but he's always been happy to sit in a wet or dirty diaper all day. Potty training should be fun! Haha.
ETA: he's 2.5 and in disposables. Obviously immediately if he's pooped, but otherwise every 2-3 hours. I change him at specific times of day b/c it works for our schedule.
Upon wake-up Before we leave for main day's activity (2 hrs) Before nap (3 hrs) After nap (2-3hrs depending on nap length) Before bed (3 hrs)
There's probably one more poopy diaper in there somewhere, so I change him 5-6 times a day.

I don't know how you would know when the diaper is wet? I guess those diapers with the stripes. We use cloth, though. I change him about every 1.5-2 hrs. I prefer to use fewer inserts for absorbancy so the CD isn't too bulky under his clothes so I change more often.

3-4 hours using cloth for a 1 year old. Unless she pooped, which is an immediate change. We butter her up with Aquafor during the day and Desitin with disposables at night. She's reached the IMPOSSIBLE to change stage without writhing and acting like she's dying.

Ditto! Except that my kid is a super pooper and his poops are super loud. I always change him when he poops so sometimes it's much more frequently.

Daycare was changing every 2 hours. I asked them about it and they said they could adjust if they have a note from me. So I wrote them a note saying they can change every 3 hours for pee, but it's their judgment. At home we do every 3 hours or when it's realllly full. In cloth it has to be every 2 hours or it leaks (and they leak a lot even in less than that time!)

I usually change DD3 after every nap. She's only 6 weeks so she still sleeps a ton. It probably works out to every 3 hours or so. I also change her after every poop.
