Not good She only goes pee every 1.5-2 hours so we aren't getting much practice. Two accidents before nap time so I put a pull-up on for her nap. She is also getting mad at me for telling her to tell me if she has to go and is bored because we can't go anywhere. She also likes to play by herself awhile each day, and we can't do that. She actually bite me earlier which she has never done before.
The good- the morning started off great with pee in the toilet several times.
The bad- just before lunch was as expected- lots of pee accidents. One was on her PBK chair and she freaked when I had to put the cover in the washer.
The ugly- had a poo accident in her playroom just now. I was changing Luke's diaper and was unable to give her 100% attention and she pooped. Luckily, it was on her plastic road for her cars so other than the potty, it was a good location for cleaning purposes.

Oh no on the biting. I think Emmy is getting annoyed with me saying, "remember to tell mama or daddy when you have to go pee or poop!"

We are a week into PT'ing and trust me, it gets better!!
Our biggest issue now is when we are out in public, the big toilets intimidate him and he gets a little skittish. He also requires his shorts and underwear to be completely off before he goes. It is annoying and a bit difficult to get everything back on.

Lincoln is still like this! Why must everything be taken off? Just recently he's started letting me leave his shorts and undies on one ankle while he goes.
unclejesse or carawestt Did either of your boys seem to be angry at the beginning of trying? I didn't expect her to go in the toilet today, but I didn't expect her to be pretty pissed at me and my husband for mentioning the potty, making her wear underwear and making her stay inside near it. I don't know if it means she isn't ready, or she is just testing us?

Not in the beginning but a few days into it, yes. He was super excited to use the potty at first because it was new and exciting. Then he started getting mad and annoyed at me for asking if he had to go all the time and he'd throw a HUGE fit when I'd make him try. It did get better. Hang in there!

He wasn't mad, but was definitely defiant. Even now, if I ask him if he has to go, 90% of the time it's a no, even when I know he has to. The first and second days sucked. But by day 3, it was like a switch flipped. Since then, we saw a little regression when the IL's got home (he had a poo accident, which he never did before then). We are using Pull Ups when we go out, but we have only been out of the house the past 2 days so far. ETA he does tell us when he has to go, but if I were to ask him randomly he will say no.

Do you have a little potty? If so, we took ours out back when H was first in undies.

A was pissy by day 2 or 3. Wendi's go out back a few times. But she got annoyed with us
@lindy- Emmy was pissed about wearing undies so we let her go bottomless while at home. We made her wear undies to Target (to buy a toy to celebrate day 1) and she was accident free (about a 25 min trip).

There are little foldable portable potty seats you can take for the big toilets! I got mine at wal mart!
Can someone please educate me? What should be the goal of potty training at this age? Using the potty by him/herself? Telling a parent so that they can help with going potty? No more diapers and no accidents?

M tells us when she needs to go and we take her, help her, wipe her, pull pants back up, etc.
She does not wear diapers - except pull ups for nap and bed time. She wears underwear all the rest of the time including when we go out in public. She tells us, but we also have rules like: go right before every time we leave the house. Go right before nap or bed. Go right upon waking up.

This is us too. A wears a pull up at night, and underwear the rest of the day. It's rare that we have an accident. The ONLY reason she wears a pull up for night time is in case she wakes up before us. But she's down awesome. The first week SUCKED though.

Christian was good about staying dry for long stretches. His undies were dry during his 3 hour nap. He did have a few accidents and once was poop but I was able to catch him in time to let him finish on the potty. He doesn't really want to sit on his potty. His response is, "I don't want to". We did have a bit of an interference with my dad coming over to look at my porch light. It wasn't working last night and with DH being gone it had to hr fixed asap. I'm sure that didn't help having my parents over. It definitely wasn't how I intended things. I hope tomorrow he actually wants to use the potty.

We've already had one accident. The good thing is he will tell me when he's peed. I'll just explain to him that it's yucky to go in the underwear and big boys have to use the potty and keep underwear dry. I'm trying to stay positive.

It's hard to stay positive but they don't call it the 3-day-method for nothing! Emmy is not happy today that she doesn't get diapers back. Ugh

Are you putting undies on her at night?
No, we used a diaper. I know the book days not to but she is a heavy night wetter and drinks at night. I values sleep and wasn't ready to try to break her of the night water just yet. Did you use undies at night?

We used diapers too. Christian just told me he had to poo poo so I made a big deal out of him telling me but he would not sit on the potty. He's had two accidents today.
We've had a few small accidents so far today (little tiny puddles, not a full pee) and she's gone big pees on the potty. So lots of improvement there. She hasn't popped yet, though.
She started to do this thing where when she has to go she will say, "ah!" like she's scared or she can't remember what to do. So, we have a great indicator of when she has to go which is why I think she's been more successful today. Overall, I'm pleased so far!

Glad you guys are having success! A keeps holding it, she only went once today between waking up at 8am and nap at 1pm and she went like 1 foot from the toilet lol. I didn't put a pull-up on this time for nap, because I think she is just waiting for that to go.
ETA: she stayed dry all nap but still no pees that start on the potty

So far this afternoon has been a success. Only two accidents this morning back to back. He has peed in the potty twice today and both were large amounts. I have faith!
Don't give up. A didn't start a pee in the potty except maybe 1 or 2 times the first 3 days. She just didn't catch on to her body's signals. Get that kid eating some Popsicles for some more liquid
