I just got to the lab to drop off my jug o pee and get blood draws, and it's going to be an hour wait. And there's an amazing-smelling breakfast place across the street, but my blood work is fasting.
Just leaving my 35 week appt - for the second week in a row, she told me I was having a contraction. I don't feel anything... I was induced the first time and have anxiety about not realizing I'm in labor until it's too late.
I thiiink I felt some flutters last night while I was laying in bed. We'll see if they are noticeable again today or not. I had an anterior placenta last time and didn't feel much until about 25 weeks so I'm excited!
My weekend wasn't long enough. But that's my usual complaint.
Had the breast feeding class last night, I'm so glad I signed up for it. It was super helpful and it makes me feel much more comfortable about breast feeding.
I went to Panera Bread for breakfast. I got a chai and a egg & cheese on ciabatta. The chai tasted like it was made in a pot with burnt ocffee and my sandwich was burnt on the bottom. PLUS I got a $25 parking ticket, and usually I never have to worry about that. My $8.34 breakfast, now cost $33.34. Reminds me to never go to the Panera near my office, they suck!
And we had a fire drill this morning, thank goodness I'm only on the 3rd floor.
I have just woken up from working my second last Sunday night until June next year. This coming weekend is my last weekend of work before my 5 weeks of annual leave and then maternity leave kick in. I can't wait, the nights have been killing me. And DS starts his summer holidays on Wednesday so no more school runs until September, and then my mum will be here and DH will take leave and have his paternity leave.
It's been a pretty cool summer but today and tomorrow will be 90s. I believe around 110 heat index. I usually go walking with a friend Monday nights but screw that this week.
I bought a rug for the nursery and build a storage cube over the weekend. My first shower is a month away and I'm so excited! I also have some art to hang and last night I think I finally have a plan in my head of where I want everything.
Today was 2nd day of taking Miralax - nothing happening yet though. It actually doesn't have a taste. I've been mixing it with crystal light and don't notice it, but I take it before I leave for work and it upsets my stomach to jug a class of water that early. I need to start mixing it and just drink it while I drive to work.
My kid stepped on my middle finger yesterday and it's all swollen and hurty today and I can't bend it so I look like I'm giving people the finger wherever I go. Yay!
I think I may have to order a new crib. I can't find the 2 braces for the drop-side and it's not safe w/o them. You know what's also fun? Putting a crib together at 33 weeks pg. Oh wait no, no its not.
I have to hang curtains today. You know what's also fun to do at 33 week pg? Hang fucking curtains. Oh wait.

Can you contact the company and just order those pieces you need for the crib?

It was part of the big laJobi recall in 2010. I tried to look up the contact info but the phone number goes to a new company now. I tried googling for ways to get new ones for hours yesterday.
This is not a brag post, but a truly amused post. DH and I are rather fascinated by my weight this pregnancy. Up until around 28 weeks I had an aversion to meat and pasta, and hardly ate much. So that is why we thought I was loosing weight. Then my aversions went away and I have being indulging in pasta with parmesan cheese, cakes and lots of ice cream. My appetite reappeared. I weighed myself this weekend and no, I am still losing weight. This kid us a parasite. We laugh because I would worry, but let's just say that I have lots of fat stores for the kid, lol.
A house down the street sold & the new people are moving in. I was upset when I saw it was for sale. The previous owners decorated the whole front yard for Christmas each year. I feel the new people should have signed an agreement to put all the decorations out too lol
Our neighbors threw us a surprise baby shower yesterday and it was awesome. Feeling loved right now.
@sessalee Making it to 13w is amazing! Pretty sure I busted out the Bella Band at 6w thanks to mega bloat.
To be fair, I have a lot of loser fitting dresses for work, and employed the hairband trick a few times already! I just wanted to wear this black mini today, dammit.
My mom decided to buy way too much fruit this weekend, and then sent us home with nearly all of it - good thing I hadn't been shopping yet!
We now have:
1/2 large watermelon 1 pineapple 1 pt raspberries sandwich size ziplock full of cherries 2 bananas
Just for DH and I my constipation should be in check this week!
I buy that much fruit each week for just me I actually just bought a 2 lb tub of strawberries from Costco - which I'll eat no problem. But the watermelon is HUGE right now! It's cheaper then our grocery store but I doubt I can finish all of it and H doesn't eat fruit.

Ugh, my maternity clothes are starting to not fit as well. I've just been wearing dresses all summer for the most part, but and realizing that they seem to be getting shorter as my belly gets bigger. I think I need to reassess my closet tonight to see how much still actually fits me. I just need to make it through a few more weeks of work and really don't want to buy any more maternity clothes! I have one pair of black pants, and may be trying to wear them as often as possible.

I've been having so many BH in the past month that I hardly notice them anymore. Is that bad?

Wow, sorry about your parking ticket. I would be so annoyed.
I hope my building doesn't have a fire drill anytime soon. What do handicapped people do when the elevator shuts down??

Every building and stairwell should have this emergency lift thingy, I can't recall the exact name. Usually security should be notified if you require assistance getting down stairs in a emergency. Security will come help you and put you in this chair lift to get you down the stairs.

Good to know. I never would have thought of this!
Me either, until I started working on ADA accommodations at work. But ideally, I would request an accommodation to be on the first floor of any building if I needed assistance. In a true emergency, I would hate to have to wait for security.

Yeah, I'm not really handicapped, just temporary mobility issues. I'm on the second floor and could scoot down the steps on my butt if push comes to shove.
At the end of my last pg I had like 4 outfits that fit and I just cycled through them and did my own load of laundry every few days, lol. I'm down to one drawer of wearable shirts and pants and will probably be down to one "stack" within that drawer soon.
My appetite continues to not be crazy - yay! No need for 2nd breakfast again today.

I have three pairs of shorts and seven tops. Dresses and pants are too much trouble lately. Someday getting dressed will be fun again!
Broke out the bella band this morning. 13w5d. Ayep.
I can do you one better - I'm 13w2d and broke out the full on maternity pants. My other option was a bella band with regular pants, and that was just not happening today.
Thankfully, I haven't gained any weight in recent weeks, but I definitely feel my lower belly protruding more.

I feel like it's such a slippery slope from here, too! Full on maternity pants aren't far out, then tops and dresses.
My sensitivity to smells went away after first trimester but has come back stronger than ever. Earlier the smell of baby carrots was bugging me. Somebody microwaved something with syrup 3 hours ago and I can still smell it (which is making me crave pancakes lol).
