It is barely 11 AM and it's already 83 degrees outside, with a REALFEEL of 86.
Cereal was the only thing that sounded good to eat so I went across the street to get some, and I started feeling hot and woozy. Inside the supermarket, with the AC.
It's partly the sick and partly the HOLY SHIT HOT AND HUMID weather.

I found out this morning via Facebook that, due to my grandma's health issues, my grandparents are auctioning off their house and personal belongings. I am shocked but not surprised, if that makes sense.
We saw my mil for a few moments yesterday and she mentioned how fil will be soooo devastated if we move out of the state as my H and his dad were walking outside to chat. I told her that they would be free to visit or possibly even stay for long periods of time if we have a inlaws suite, her: well I have my grandchildren here so I am not moving anywhere me: well that isn't my issue.
and H walked back in at that moment so she shut up. I shouldn't have said anything but I was tired and grumpy from the day and I knew that it was going to be a safe card for me to play because for some reason her life is her grandchildren, like her entire life is these kids so I knew that she wasn't going to be moving for anything. So I will take my baby basket and get the hell out of here.
Why shouldn't you have said anything?
You are allowed to respond in a conversation with your MIL. I do think, though, that you know you are at an impasse here and there is nothing to be discussed. You've tried to allay her fears and she is not looking for that, so she's fighting back. Stick to a nice polite, "I'm sorry to hear that," and repeat as many times as necessary. There's not much arguing you can do with that one.
