Brought to you by the planes that fly directly over our house. They really are not that loud, but we are in the flight path for take-offs.
We live 5 minutes from our tiny airport so we can be from the house to the gate in 20 minutes (parked, checked in, and security!) The convenience kinda makes up for the ridiculously expensive fares...
About 10 miles away? It's a smaller airport that does commuter/connecting flights to larger airports. There is some military training too. DH and I never hear planes over our house but we're deaf :-) so I don't know if that's entirely accurate.
We're about an hour from the airport, so we never hear planes. We do hear medical helicopters fairly frequently because we live fairly close to the hospital.

I grew up about 15 min from MSP airport. I used to love looking for the house when we'd come in the right way and yes, you can see it well! We live maybe 10 min from a very small airport now but I don't ever hear planes here. H really notices the plane noise at my parents house but it's really not that bad!
We are about 30 minutes away from one. It's also a military base so we have the larger planes fly over our house that sometimes shake our whole house when they are overhead.

We are a good 40 minutes away from an airport. We are in the flight path though and can hear the planes occasionally...nothing that's annoying though.
At our condo (that we sold in 2013) we lived throwing distance to a train...that got really annoying, especially since they could drive at all hours of the day or night. I eventually blocked it out so it didn't disturb my sleep but that changed when we got married and DH slept horribly thanks to the train.

We are maybe 3 miles from an International airport. I hear the planes constantly, but don't notice them, because I grew up close to the airport in one direction, and now we on the other end of the runway. Though we are also close enough to D.C. that we are still in restricted airspace, so the only air traffic we get are landing/taking off at one of the two major airports.
We're about 15 minutes away from a huge one, and the planes are really freaking loud. And constant. We rent now, so we're going to buy on the other side of town. Just two miles away, it's like a different world. I think we're right in the angle they land on currently.
We are 30-35 minutes from two international ones, and there is a tiny airport in town. I forget we have one in town unless I'm over on that side (though it's only like a 7 minute drive).
Kind of? There's an itty bitty, teeny tiny one right down the road from us. Tiny planes and helicopters are constantly taking off and landing at it, but we rarely hear them because they're so small. That's where the launch the hot air balloons from, though, so that's pretty cool. The closest moderate sized airport is an hour away, and the closest big airport is an hour and a half.

I grew up closer to an airport than I live now but never had much of a problem w plane noise. Probably live about 30 minutes from two airports right now.
Yes about 2 miles from an international airport. I don't notice the planes taking off at all but I also live right next to the interstate. I don't really notice the freeway noise either, it's like white noise I'm used to it.

Yes. 10-15 mins away. You can see planes take off from a hill overlooking the bay near my house. I barely notice the air traffic tho.
Side story: my high school was under the flight path (really I feel like the entire Bay Area is; we have x3 airports) but anyways, I remember during the 9/11 attacks, when they grounded all air travel for a period of time, the sky was eerily empty and quiet around here. Nuts.
