What are you training for? Date? Tristate Throwdown, August 9th
Training plan for the week? MTTFS
Any issues or vents? Yesterday I did an airdyne sprint workout that left my sitting against a wall for 20 minutes with my head between my legs, trying not to throw up.
Highlights from last week? I was doing strict C2B pull-ups with a little bit of added weight and one of the other girls in my class was like "When did you learn to do that?!" I guess I've improved a little bit there

Any issues or vents? I'm excited and nervous. Running only 4 days a week is giving me a little anxiety like I'm not going to be prepared enough or I'm going to lose fitness. Silly, I know. I'll be upping my mileage next week and the follow weeks. I need to trust the plan. It's going to get tough so I should enjoy these easier weeks.
Highlights from last week? Had an awesome vacation. Got to go on a short run with my H for the first time in like 2 years. I endured through rainy, hilly 7 mile run alongside some Maine country roads.

Any issues or vents? It's hard training while solo dog parenting. DH has been gone a week and won't be back until Saturday. I took yesterday off because I was so tired and had to get stuff done around the house.
Highlights from last week? I got a 34 second PR at my 5k last Wednesday (29:11). My 7 mile run felt good, I was tired after stopping, but could have kept going.

M: 3 mile run T: Stretch, ROLL, strength W: 5 x 400 speed workout Th: Stretch, ROLL, strength F: 3 mile run Sat: 3 mile run Sun: 5 mile run
Any issues or vents? Darn shins. I'm juggling around the workouts in Hal's intermediate half marathon plan because honestly I think it will be nicer on my shins. I rested for a week and they seem "ok." I will just need to roll and ice and take more care, and possibly buy a more supportive shoe to see how that works.
Highlights from last week? That I spent the week resting and although I went borderline crazy I did not go full crazy. Silver linings and all that.
Training plan for the week? Mon - 6m + strength Tues - 5m + stretch Wed - 8m w/ 4 at half pace Thur - cross + strength Fri - rest Sat - 16m w/ 10 at goal marathon pace Sun - 5m

Training plan for the week? I did 8 miles today, I will do probably 7-8 on Thursday, 10-11 on Saturday, 5-6miles on Sunday with weights.
Any issues or vents? Not really an issue but for a long time I keep saying I am going to add another training day (weights and cross training) to my workout week and it just hasn't happened yet, I need to get on that.
Still just base training. A couple halfs and kiawah. No plan for the week. A long run, a couple shorter and some strength. Vents? I'm just tired. I saw the MD yesterday and am getting ready to head out and get bloodwork done before work. AW? Nada

What are you training for? Date? HM on 10/19.
Training plan for the week? 3 miles tonight, 2 miles Thursday, 7 Saturday (I think, I'd have to check my schedule to be sure and I don't have it with me).
Any issues or vents? This damn humidity. Ugh.
Highlights from last week? Not really. Unless you count running 6 miles in drizzly humid nasty weather on Saturday morning when I didn't really want to a "highlight."

Training plan for the week? I'm doing some swimming. Nothing else, really. See below
Any issues or vents? I did something to the tendons(?) behind both knees. They are tight as hell. LBS said I need to stretch more and use an easier gear. I'm afraid of doing too much and aggravating it more.
Highlights from last week? I'm getting more confident with my clipless pedals!

Any issues or vents? babyniq dropped all of his vegetables into my running shoes at dinner. Impressive aim, but annoying. At least they were on their last few miles. Also I suck at biking and need to get better.
Highlights from last week? Sprint tri complete! Every time I passed an Olympic triathlete slogging through the run, I thought oh god that's going to be me in six weeks.
What are you training for? Date? Wineglass Half Marathon 10/5
Training plan for the week? M: 1 mile run T: 2 mile run W: 3 mile run T: cross F: Rest S: Spin and 3 mile run Su: cycle ride with DH

Highlights from last week? It was to be my first week of training. I spent the week watching my 12 year old nephew play in a large baseball championship. Totally worth it but the reason for the slow start to this week.

M - 3 mi easy w/strides Tu - body pump W - 8 mi tempo Th - 9 mi with 4 at marathon pace and body pump if I get done in time F - rest Sa - half marathon with an added 5

Not really. It's so damn hot this week, which just suuuuucks. We've had such a nice summer until now.
Highlights from last week?
Nope. I had a good 14 miler last weekend, which was encouraging, but it was a quiet week.
