After the consensus on here about what to do with our cars while we are living overseas for several years, we bit the bullet and sold both cars while we were home this summer. It was so much easier than I thought and now we are car free! And we have a nice chunk of cash to decide what to do with. Can't beat that!
We ended up selling our older car when sent overseas for DH's work. Our only option for storage of his old truck was paying out of pocket for monthly storage, and the truck just wasn't worth that. (honestly, it's impressive we got someone to pay money to take it from us...)
Our car, though, DH's employer shipped here (and will return it to the US). It's been interesting driving it here - we didn't quite realize how much a red Honda would stand out here...

If it is the red Honda in your siggy, I think it would stick out anywhere

Well...
It's not always dressed up like a devil.
But, really, Honda's are very uncommon here (imported cars are rare, and Japanese brands are even more rare - I think I see more Peugots than I do Hondas...). And the local nationals prefer very plain colours for their cars - black, grey and white. I've heard that colourful cars are culturally seen as too frivolous. When you do see a local in a colourful car, it tends to be a sporty/fun type vehicle. There's a teeny Kia that is pretty popular here, too (I think it's a "Morning" model), and we're starting to notice a few of those coming in fun colours. But, basic sedans, nearly all boring colours.
