E ate a peach for lunch.
Had a babysitter for 2 hours this afternoon and I told her E could have whatever for a snack/early dinner. Mentioned a number of things, including the peaches in the fridge. Came home to hear
Sitter: "E said she was hungry so she finished off the peaches." Me - oh, the ones I'd cut up for lunch? Sitter - um, no, there were 3 peaches in the fridge, and she ate them all. Me - , (totally fake), ok! Good to know! Yeah she loves peaches. Sitter (laughs) - She TOTALLY said that! She said "Miss Sitter, I do really LOVE peaches." And she kept asking for more, so I gave them to her.
She's having rice and cheese for dinner. There's only one way this will end, and it isn't well. Pray for me. And my floors.
This would actually be good. She's supposed to go to a half day of camp tomorrow morning. I was planning on telling them to pay VERY close attention and not screw around when she says she has to go to the bathroom. Normally it would be like a day or so, but 3 peaches + 1 for lunch = danger zone, and I feel like I'm on borrowed time already!
One time DS spent the night at MIL's house and she said he got up in the middle of the night and pooped his diaper. He's never done that, not even when he was an infant.
Then she was all "oh it's probably because he ate a WHOLE watermelon, last night...he just LOVES watermelon rennido!"
I didn't have the deal with the aftermath though...thank god.
Good luck!
thank you for reminding me to try to talk her into a pull-up tonight. That will be fun. :/
Uh oh! It's kinda funny that the babysitter was all excited about it though. Someone left a bowl of cherries in the staff room last week and I'd grab a handful every time I walked by. I hadn't had cherries in forever and they were so good! It wasn't until later that I remembered it might not be a good idea to gorge myself.

The good news is that you can use this to your advantage in the future. I was having trouble getting W to change his diaper right after he poops. One day I didn't know he pooped and it leaked everywhere. After that, all I had to say was "Remember that one time when your diaper leaked?" and he's all about getting it changed ASAP. So...silver lining?
I had a similar experience the morning after the 4th after DS gorged himself on grapes, blueberries, and watermelon. Unluckily for me, he's allergic to dairy and drinks coconut milk, which can help as a laxative itself. His room stunk all day.

Nothing so far. I don't think any michigan stores were included in the recall (assuming I can read), and I don't think I bought the peaches it is specifying. I'd throw them out just to be safe, but...there are no more.
That child just ate so.much.food tonight. I don't know where she puts it. I'm starting to suspect a tapeworm. Kidding (sort of).
