My sister can probably hang out with me, but I don't know what plans to make... nevermind this is the 3rd time in 5 years we haven't been able to spend it together!  His job is not as glamorous as it sounds.  Anyway, thoughts?

I would maybe get a dessert (cake/cupcake) in a similar flavor to my favorite wedding cake flavor, if I felt like being a little sentimental.

I would want to acknowledge the relationship, even w/o H. Since you will probably have your sister with you, could you go out to eat somewhere you went with your H when you were dating/engaged/married? Or maybe a restaurant that reminds you of your honeymoon or a really great trip you and your H went on?

If you don't want to be sentimental, just going out to the movies could be fun. Especially if there is a movie out you want to see and your H doesn't.

Unfortunately I feel you. This will be our 3rd anniversary and our first that we actually spend together. Unfortunately it was always my fault due to my job (I did feel really bad!). I always took myself out to a nice restaurant if I wasn't flying.

I spent our 1st anniversary alone since H was deployed and I just did fun things. Pedicure, book store, dinner with my dad. Nothing extravagant but things that I didn't get to do very often at the time because of work and being single doggy mom lol

I would plan a happy day for me. Pedicure, yummy take out and a girly movie. Really good bottle of wine.

wellll, he had to call me today to tell me that both H and I had parasites in our stool...soooo yah. definitely not glamorous. haha.


I probably wouldn't care too much. I'd just plan us to get together on a different day to celebrate it. If I wanted to do something though, I'd probably just hang with friends or family. :^)

Does it make me an asshole to say that I would spend the day eating at places and doing things that h doesn't like doing?

I would go to dicks, taco bell, pedicures and wander target for hours.

Yes! All of this. Me and UW are so like minded sometimes. I don't think I would care that much actually. I'd just use it as an excuse to do something fun for myself that I know H wouldn't want to do.

This was my H on Mother's Day. I know I'm not HIS mother but he could have helped Blb make a card or something thoughtful.

H and I actually do make a big deal out of our anniversary. We almost always go away for an overnight or longer. Except the first year we had Blb. We just went out to dinner.
