My baby is sick. But she's on the mend. She was supposed to go to M/FIL's this week, but MIL hurt herself somehow (her shoulder/neck), and then M came down with some bug yesterday that made her puke twice, and then she started coughing last night, and had fevers as high as 102.8°. So... she's been home. J took the week off since we had planned for M to be gone (I couldn't take any time off from work because I'm saving all I can for maternity leave), so he was home with her, which is good.
Today we're hoping she's better so it's possible that M/FIL will still take her for the remainder of the week as long as MIL is feeling better too.
I made it in to work early. One of the gals in AR is gone so I am covering a few of her duties today. I am really hoping to get the apt cleaned up by the end of the week. I have a therapy session tomorrow night (I am going back since EVERYONE and the mother in my family seems to think I have "issues". but thats a story for another thread) and then brunch on Saturday, and then we rescheduled cake tasting for Sunday.
I'm prepping for a meeting this morning that I'm super nervous about. Looking forward to having it behind me. Yesterday was absolutely crazy. I was a little thrown off by the rain and thunder this morning, but I'm happy the air will be cleared out. Who has two thumbs and still has allergies at the end of July? This girl.
anyone else exhausted today? nope, just me? okay then. I think my hard workout yesterday totally kicked my butt today - sore all over and very very tired.
I slept like crap last night. H was snoring so I got up to go to the couch and my getting up woke him up and he got all pissed that I was going to the couch. I need sleep, dude!
My SIL was supposed to take my DD today since her daughter is the same age as DD. Well, she's always really flaky and of course didn't call to confirm. My poor DD was pretty bummed yesterday, but at daycare today an old friend of hers is going to be there, so that did make it a bit better. I plan on texting SIL and letting her know that I would appreciate her to not make plans infront of DD anymore as she never follows through - that's just not fair to do to kids.

Happy Hump Day! I was pleasantly surprised with light traffic yesterday evening. I think I just missed Obama going over 520, and I think our local media has scared a lot of people to WFH this week or leave super early or late. I love light traffic.
The weather after work was pretty decent, and I had a great time at the BBQ with H and his CWs. Today's weather... not so nice. But it's supposed to be a nice weekend, and that's what matters.

I didn't sleep well last night, but the thunder rolling about this morning was nice, and I was wide awake around 6. I've finally got a rainy day that I can work on inside projects today and not feel guilty for not getting out and taking advantage of the sun.

So I ended up going to the eye doctor yesterday. Turns out my cornia is dried out. She thinks I some how fell slept with my eye open. So it's glasses and eye drops for me.
The bad part is I can't see as well through my glasses as I can contacts. My right eye is still really blurry. I'm all squinty and sitting really close to my computer. Boo.
Today should be pretty chill. Wish I could blow off work and go see a movie. H talked about leaving at lunch time today to go "work" from home. I'm so jealous.
Ugh, bad dream this early AM left me super tired and cranky and my officemate is being ANNOYING and loudly complaining/exclaiming every other minutes. Dude, I get its obnoxious the processes around here are broken and you can't get the work done, but STOP BEING SO LOUD. Last class last night, I'm sad. I don't want to take any in August but I want fall schedule out NOW so I can see what I get to take! My housemate's boyfriend broke up with her so she'll be living with us full-time soon (rather than part time) until she can find a new place where she can have a cat. (H's allergies won't let her cat come live with us, one is enough.)

how is that possible?!
I probably slept on my right side on my pillow and with my face smashed against it, it held my eye lid open. I've been so tired lately, I'm not suprised that I might have slept really hard and done that.

madDawg228 I too was very pleasantly surprised with the light traffic last night! We had to use 405 (blech) because of picking up a rental car so my car could go into the shop for a few days, and I was dreading it but it was weirdly light. H said his boss has had an easy time on 90 so far this week too. The media has scared a lot of people off the roads. Works for me!
Meeting is DONE and I think it went really well. There's a bottle of Rose with my name on it tonight
BabyLefty is 6 week old today! We are going to meet up with two of my coworkers who have a 5 week old and a three week old. My poor school next year and its many subs! Other than that I need to clean up a bit for this weekend
karebear219 - I am glad it is nothing serious, but glad you checked it out. You can put an ointment in at night that will help if it happens again. @ksta - I sleep with my eyes open, it happens to quite a few people.
I am finishing up my last care plan for the quarter, wooo! I actually enjoy doing them, but summer quarter is a time crunch so I will take more study time.
Nothing exciting here. Although I went to Costco this a.m and it was so empty that it was awesome! I would have browsed more but I need to tighten the budget for a bit between H's rolling in surgery bills (finally) and M's party last weekend. So I got what I needed and left as not to be tempted by the suck you in that is Costco. They did have some Halloween costumes out already too.
Can I just say I am LOVING this rain! Just makes me nice and cozy, much better than the heat stroke the last few weeks. I'm ready for fall
