Omfg. My dogs have frontline on and no ticks attached. We used to live in the country and my dogs would run through pastures and we never ever had ticks in our house. I would occasionally find ticks on them, but never have I had these large gray ones in my house.
I found one on my wall and one on the door frame this morning. I just looked all over both dogs and there are none on them. If you remember, I found one like this on my lab a month or so ago. Most of my neighbors have dogs. Do you think they could be coming from them? I am so grossed out.
Fuck those are horrible. Those are the ones that turn pale gray/white when bloated. I once HEARD one fall on the floor from my dog the first day i brought her home from the SPCA.
I can't believe they're just hanging out in your house though? I'd say you need to seriously consider an exterminator.

We live in an apartment. I'm calling them to see if they do anything that gets rid of ticks.
How does one let a tick go for THAT LONG that is THAT BIG? HOW DO YOU NOT NOTICE IT?! (I'm referring to damnation's pic).
In the past when my dog has gotten ticks they tend to be on top of his ear which is somewhere I usually don't touch on him so I don't notice until they're big. On my short haired do I notice almost immediately but with the long haired one it's harder. I switched preventatives again this year and it seems to be working so far thankfully.
