Even if you don't have a region free dvd player, you can probably hack your existing dvd player to be region free. It usually just involves inputting the code (which you can google) via the remote.

J saw the play at a high school last year and really loved it and has been asking to watch the movie ever since. I just can't find it through normal avenues. I posted today after two different movies didn't work for me from Amazon. I got it for him for his birthday and he was so excited. I feel like I'm on a mission to find the movie at this point.
i knew there was a completely legit reason, it just sounded funny with no backstory to be so spun up about a disney movie from 1992
I understand. I made it seem urgently mysterious. I should have come up with a more interesting backstory to get this to 3 pages.
We (amazingly) don't have a copy at work. If you can't find any way to see it, I can keep my eyes open for it. I actually run the kids section, so I'm on top of the dvds all the time.
Mine works! I have no idea if my DVD/blu ray player is "special", but it works. karmasabiotch
I wonder if I try for a 3'rd time and order it from the company that you used. Did it include a digital download? The two that I ordered didn't or I would have tried to upload to an IPad.

The one I got doesn't, it's just a blu ray. I hope you can find one that works!
I don't know if this is true, but someone told me that Disney is re-releasing the video (out of "the vault") in October. If so, I'll buy it for DD.. She loves Jasmine and I'm taking her to the B'way show for her birthday so she'd probably enjoy the movie. I've been on the waiting list for it at the library for several months.
Any Goodwill/Value Village/Savers will have a copy of this. They're full of VHS tapes. I bought some today at the Habitat store for my mom's house (who's still rocking a VCR) they were 5/$1. And they had at least 3 Alladins.
