I don't understand the excitement over Taylor Kitsch and and that was before he fucked up Gambit with his very little charm having self. He has a weirder shaped head and face than Channing Tatum and that's saying a fuckton.
Friday Night Lights sounds like a combination of Seventh Heaven and Varsity Blues so I say skip it.

YES!!!!!
Be warned that the second season is not great and includes a ridiculous plot twist. But the writers pulled their heads out of their asses by season 3, and by the time it ended, I was all, "NOOOOOOOOOO, IT CAN'T BE OOOOOOOOOOOVER!"
Also, you just have to deal with the fact taht Julie Taylor is the whiniest whiner ever. But it's worth it for Coach Taylor. Also, Michael B. Jordan is in the later seasons, if that kind of thing matters to you.

So I think he's hot and all, but the shaggy haired rebel has never really been my type.
But that's OK! Because that show has enough hotness to satisfy everyone's tastes!
I actually suuuuuuper have a thing for the character Coach Taylor in the show. And Matt Lauria, who plays Luke Cafferty...he can huddle up with me any day of the week!
There are LOTS of FNL alums in P'hood, because it's the same executive producer (Katims).
The answer to the question being YES. It's a lot like P'hood in the sense of a feel-good family drama, but without the cute unrealistically happy endings and ridiculous plot twists (except for season 2), and a little more SES diversity.
But really, the whole reason to watch is Coach Taylor. Coach Taylor Coach Taylor Coach Taylor. I would watch Kyle Chandler read the phone book, but I would watch Coach Taylor read it all day every day.
Should I watch Friday Night Lights? I am looking for a show to watch without H sort of whenever I'm home and the baby is napping and I want to avoid responsibility. H will NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS watch a football show, and frankly it doesn't sound like my favorite either, but I kind of liked Varsity Blues? Maybe? I do hate Taylor Kitsch. Hopefully I'll get through it.
YES!! It is an awesome show. Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose!

TRUTH.
I feel like my crush on Kyle Chandler/Coach Taylor is the official sign that I'm a grown-up. I mean, Taylor Kitsch is some decent eye candy, but at the end of the day, I want to come home to an Eric Taylor.
Taylor Kitsch is rumored to be in the second season of True Detective. That was really good, too, Bunny, if you want something a little heavier. Orange is the New Black ended up being good, too. I was wrong on the other thread. (said it was ok, nothing special)
Veep is a good show that's lighter. I like the second season way better than the first, but are you the one who dislikes Julia Louis-Dreyfus? :-(
I cannot believe how much I am enjoying this show. I hate that I love it.
I love Tami. Love her. I also love Matt Saracen. But here's what I don't get. How does Tim Riggins take a shower after the game, and have his hair still look greasy as fuck?
I was not a Tim Riggins fan in the beginning...but oh man. JUST WAIT.
