My concern is mostly for my semi adult kids, ive already had a pretty good and comfortable life.

1. If you could move to anywhere in the world - where would you go? Paris. I love that city. 2. What about in the US? Hmm. Not sure. Maybe out west. Colorado? 3. What are the biggest dreams you have and things you hope to accomplish for yourself? Having a beautiful house that I entertain in. Doing a half Ironman (maybe, lol). Running a marathon. Traveling to every continent. 4. If you could travel solo, where would you go? Thailand 5. When you are 90 and look back at your life, what do you want to say that you got right for yourself? I lived life to its fullest. That I had minimal regrets. And I didn't settle. 6. Anything you'd like to add to this post. I know this is cliched but I used to be scared of failure a lot. I let it hold me back from doing this. After getting cancer and not knowing if I was going to live or die, it really taught me to say a big "FUCK YOU" to that fear. You can do anything you put your heart and soul in to. Anything. And don't ever forget that.
IHO my latest life developments, just curious about your answers to the questions I'm pondering lately.
1. If you could move to anywhere in the world - where would you go? England or some lovely Caribbean island. 2. What about in the US? Alaska or back to California 3. What are the biggest dreams you have and things you hope to accomplish for yourself? Be happy and healthy (body and mind), travel for new experiences and new food, make a tangible difference whether in my job or in small every-day things I might never know about. Contentedness. Be a part of a big critically-acclaimed choir again, if only for a season. 4. If you could travel solo, where would you go? A few national parks in the US, go hiking and take it all in, snap a shitton of photos 5. When you are 90 and look back at your life, what do you want to say that you got right for yourself? Kindness towards others, independent thought and action, hopefully the second marriage turns out , new experiences to make me a more well-rounded person 6. Anything you'd like to add to this post. Love you!
1. If you could move to anywhere in the world - where would you go? Anywhere in the world... hm... somewhere tropical. I don't have a specific in my head. I never really thought about it.
2. What about in the US? Somewhere on a beach. And a little further south. So, one of the Carolinas maybe.
3. What are the biggest dreams you have and things you hope to accomplish for yourself? I'm in the middle of kinda reinventing my life right now, so I'm going to go with a generic... I want me and my kid to be happy, healthy and move forward with our lives. We're both really happy in the path we're on right now.
4. If you could travel solo, where would you go? England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland. I want to do the cheesy monarchy tourist thing. Castles!!!
5. When you are 90 and look back at your life, what do you want to say that you got right for yourself? So far, I think I'm doing ok. I no longer have any regrets. I've messed some stuff up here and there and I definitely could have made some better decisions with some things, but for the most part, it's all turning out ok.
6. Anything you'd like to add to this post. TIP Uprising, 2013/2014! LOL We have so many strong women on here. Some marriages ended and some were patched up and made stronger. It's cool that so many of us stood up for ourselves and recognized that we deserve more/better.
IHO my latest life developments, just curious about your answers to the questions I'm pondering lately.

1. If you could move to anywhere in the world - where would you go? Somewhere in England/Ireland/Scotland. It may take me a bit of travel to narrow it down , but I've always loved the cultures.
2. What about in the US? I'm enjoying where I live now.
3. What are the biggest dreams you have and things you hope to accomplish for yourself? I've always wanted to be debt free except for mortgage by 30. I don't think I'll hit that, but I did purchase a house before 30, so at least one of my goals was accomplished. I do want to save a certain amount of money before 40. No mortgage by 50.
I am hell bent on traveling more.
If you could travel solo, where would you go? Cancun, Mexico
5. When you are 90 and look back at your life, what do you want to say that you got right for yourself? That I lived a good life, had a rewarding career, and raised a good child(ren). That I always did what I felt was right and just.
6. Anything you'd like to add to this post. I guess I don't feel like any of my goals are very lofty. Maybe a little boring. But for someone who couldn't imagine be 20, and free to make my own choices, I'm pretty happy having simple goals.
I'm going to fill this out as I'm thinking about it, but not sure these are really my answers, but thoughts running through my head.
1. If you could move to anywhere in the world - where would you go? Australia. 2. What about in the US?mags I have thought a lot about Vermont. I'm wondering if I should land in NE again somewhere. Beautiful foliage, snow, warm fires, left winged, natural and organic living, lots of possibilities for me. 3. What are the biggest dreams you have and things you hope to accomplish for yourself? I want to make a difference in the world. I'm not sure what that looks like right now, but even just a small contribution in some way I think could make me feel satisfied and fulfilled inside myself while also giving back to the world. I want to love the person I am and all the different layers that exist within me. 4. If you could travel solo, where would you go? I think I'd like to go back to Hawaii. By myself. Enjoy the coffee, the beaches, the relaxed atmosphere. I know this is a place for romance, but it seems like a very quiet and still place to be with myself. 5. When you are 90 and look back at your life, what do you want to say that you got right for yourself? I want to say that I gave back to life and made a difference in the world. That I was happy with myself and did the best for myself in every situation and that the life situations I went through only made me a stronger person with the ability to continue to grow more and more. I want to look back and see that I never stopped growing throughout my life. 6. Anything you'd like to add to this post. Love you guys - it's really interesting to see what everyone thinks about these questions.
1. If you could move to anywhere in the world - where would you go? There are fewer places I wouldn't go than I would. Australia is on the list, south of France, South Africa... 2. What about in the US? I guess the DC area or the Pacific NW. 3. What are the biggest dreams you have and things you hope to accomplish for yourself? Right now, I am very much wrapped in trying to have a kid. I may need to reevaluate soon. 4. If you could travel solo, where would you go? Anywhere I've never been. 5. When you are 90 and look back at your life, what do you want to say that you got right for yourself? Ugh. 90 just doesn't sound like a great idea in general. 6. Anything you'd like to add to this post. I did safari in Botswana by myself, but with a group and had an amazingly fabulous time.

I got an email the other day about an adventure trip of kayaking down the Amazon. I was all "YESSSSSSSSS! I WANT TO DOOOO THIS!" until I remembered that P would kill me.

1. If you could move to anywhere in the world - where would you go? I think I'd enjoy Spain (siesta, please!) or Italy. But I'm not really sure.
2. What about in the US? Anywhere but here. Honestly, I hate it in the small area I live in, always have. I've always felt like I was cut out for more than this area has to offer. I don't see a big move in my future (xh would never allow it), but I'd like to.
3. What are the biggest dreams you have and things you hope to accomplish for yourself? As cheesy as it sounds, I just want to be successful in general in life, and happy.
4. If you could travel solo, where would you go? I'd hop a plane to NC right now if I could!
5. When you are 90 and look back at your life, what do you want to say that you got right for yourself? The same thing I've always said I wanted. That I was the type of person my nieces and nephews looked up to. That I gave them the best example I could.
6. Anything you'd like to add to this post. I love you!

Travel through Europe and Asia, maybe go back to school. 4. If you could travel solo, where would you go? Ride the Oriental express 5. When you are 90 and look back at your life, what do you want to say that you got right for yourself? That I made the right choices now and helped my kids grow up to be awesome people. 6. Anything you'd like to add to this post. I love you guys.

IHO my latest life developments, just curious about your answers to the questions I'm pondering lately.
1. If you could move to anywhere in the world - where would you go? Maybe Ireland or Italy. I think I would also be tremendously happy living in Carmel where our timeshare is. We call it "our home away from home", and I miss it terribly right now. Take me back!
2. What about in the US? Carmel, CA or maybe somewhere in NE? We were there a couple of months ago, and I loved it so, so much. I didn't want to leave!
3. What are the biggest dreams you have and things you hope to accomplish for yourself? I want to be a published author. This has to happen one day! I have always loved to write. I want to be happy and healthy (mind and body, like gault said.) I want to continue to build a happy and fulfilling life with H, do more traveling, spend more time with friends and spend less time worrying about pleasing other people (especially when it's at the expense of myself. Enough of that already!) I want to fall in love with where we live again, and if I can't, I need to make a change. Life is too short. I also want a kid. I think. It's freaking me out.
4. If you could travel solo, where would you go? Greece, or maybe Fiji. Somewhere beautiful where I can just take in the view and unwind.
5. When you are 90 and look back at your life, what do you want to say that you got right for yourself? I think I just want to be able to say that I made a positive impact on the lives that I touched, that I have minimal regrets and didn't sacrifice myself for other people's comfort or happiness. And that I've had fun!
6. Anything you'd like to add to this post. You're a wonderful, brave and beautiful woman, doglove. Don't ever forget that. (heart)
1. If you could move to anywhere in the world - where would you go?
Honestly, I really love where I live!
2. What about in the US?
See above...although maybe I'd consider some place without such harsh winters?!?
3. What are the biggest dreams you have and things you hope to accomplish for yourself?
I want to raise successful, well-adjusted, kids. I really want to figure out what I want to be when I grow up and do it and do it well. I also want to stop being my own worst enemy and trust that I can accomplish anything I set my mind too.
4. If you could travel solo, where would you go?
Costa Rica
5. When you are 90 and look back at your life, what do you want to say that you got right for yourself?
That I lived and loved with my whole heart. I also want to make an impact on people. I want to know that I mattered at the end of the day.
I got an email the other day about an adventure trip of kayaking down the Amazon. I was all "YESSSSSSSSS! I WANT TO DOOOO THIS!" until I remembered that P would kill me.
Sad trombone.
That would be amazing. Can't he go too?
Ah, no. WAY outside his comfort zone. And it is too close to the Everest trip to even think about going.

1. If you could move to anywhere in the world - where would you go? Someplace warm and tropical and beachy. The Caribbean or South Pacific. Now, what would I do to support myself once I got there? No idea.
2. What about in the US? I'm actually pretty happy in VA...it would take a pretty attractive offer for me to move. I would consider it, though, for the right offer, as long as the destination was still relatively warm and a decent-sized city.
3. What are the biggest dreams you have and things you hope to accomplish for yourself? This is a tricky one! I want to earn 6 figures some day. I want to try as much amazing food as possible (and learn to cook more of it!). I want to retire on a tropical island. I want to open a bakery. I want to travel as much as possible. I want to have fun.
4. If you could travel solo, where would you go? The list of where I wouldn't go is shorter, so I'll give you that one: Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Ukraine, the Gaza strip. Basically, active war zones. Anywhere else is fair game. Thailand is pretty high on my list, at the moment, but it changes constantly based on which travel article I've read most recently!
5. When you are 90 and look back at your life, what do you want to say that you got right for yourself? I want to be able to say that I lived life to the fullest, and that I always dove head-first into life, taking full advantage of every opportunity and never saying no to an adventure. I want my loved ones to know how much they mean to me.
6. Anything you'd like to add to this post. *hugs* And if you ever need to get away, I'm not that far of a drive. Doggies are always welcome at our house, and I'll take us to lots of wineries!
1. If you could move to anywhere in the world - where would you go? France or Italy, though I love where I live.
2. What about in the US? Into a house here! Or maybe NY (the Catskills or NYC), or NJ.
3. What are the biggest dreams you have and things you hope to accomplish for yourself? I've accomplished one of my biggest dreams with my professional life already. I suppose opening a building a private practice is something I hope to achieve. I want to get re-married and have a child. I want to leave the world a better place than it was when I came into it, even if that's just with small little acts of kindness and ways to improve things.
4. If you could travel solo, where would you go? Everywhere! I might start with Scotland and Ireland, would love to go all through Europe, visit family in Italy, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, umm...it's hard to pick a place to start.
5. When you are 90 and look back at your life, what do you want to say that you got right for yourself? I want to say that I learned to live life on my own terms, that I was overall kind and a good-hearted person, that I never again made the mistake of staying with the wrong person too long. I want to know that I did the best I could.
6. Anything you'd like to add to this post. I think I need to come up with some new dreams! Also, I love you ladies!
Well all of this $hit is said and done, can we please start planning another g2g? I am going to need it.
