I went and had my first acupuncture appointment after work today and almost enjoyed it. It is a clinic at a school with a last year student overseen by a liscenced provider. I went in and she asked a zillion questions about everything. I must have answered more questions about my menstrual cycle than I ever have before and then she looked at my tounge. She then went out and discussed the plan with the instructor.
When she came back she put the needles in a bunch of places, mostly on my legs. Then she gave me a blanket over the areas without needles and turned down the lights and I kind of took a nap for 25 mins. Then she took them out and I was all done! I could honestly barely feel any of the needles, only a little when she put them in.
They recommended I go once a week, so I am going back next Weds. The school is doing a 2 for 1 summer special so I am going to weekly for this cycle and see how things go.
Overall I have no idea if it did anything but I will give it a few weeks to see.

Im so glad the needles weren't painful for you! It was so bad when I had them in I couldn't use a blanket on top bc it would send shooting pains Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
I love acupuncture, but I live in a really rural area and there is only one, and he happens to be dear friends with my parents. I cannot imagine going to see him to get acupuncture for this when my IRL friends and family do not know we are trying. I know he would not tell, but I would feel uncomfortable.
