I am pretty sure it's time for K's first hair cut.
His hair is FABULOUS and I love it, but it's approaching Donald Trump status, and I think we need to trim it. It tickles his nose when he eats and as much fun as it's been, I think it's time.
Any tips? Bring animal crackers? Daniel Tiger videos?
Should I cut it myself?
Also, I'm totally saving it in an envelope. (But am I missing some awesome Pinterest thing that is way better than an envelope?)
Also - limited time only PIP of the boy in question. I don't want him to lose those curls in the back because they are dreamy.
Yes, get someone else to do it. We go to a place that only does kids hair. DS is just a bit younger than K, and HE DOES NOT SIT STILL, but the ladies at the hair place are trained to handle kids, they have tvs set up, and some of the seats are things like firetrucks and cars, so it distracts him more.

Okay, I won't attempt it myself. H will be pleased you guys said this. I was like, "I can totally cut it myself! Am a hair cutting GENIUS despite my numerous bangs incidents in high school!!" He thought this was hilarious.
This is one of those things I thought I'd be breezy about before I had a kid. I was totally wrong. It's a big deal!

Definitely go to a place that specializes in kid's haircuts. They'll have a "first haircut" option. It usually includes a photo, a certificate, and a lock of hair in a little plastic baggie.
We took C to one of those kid hair places. It was totally cheesy but they put her hair in a little envelope and the woman was great and she didn't even notice she was getting a hair cut because she got to have a sucker and watch some videos.

Thanks again for the compliments and the tips! I'm being a total AW, I know.
fuckstick, I'm sure I'm going to cry. His hair is the number one thing we get comments on and I have SO MUCH fun with it. But it's straggly and unmanageable now. I think it will be more comfortable for him too (no more getting tangled in the paci and tickling his nose.)
