I'm glad you're back. I know you weren't gone a long time and I know we don't interact a ton, but I think you're a lot of fun.
I also think it's cool you're debating having a baby. It's cool either way. Being a mom is awesome and not being a mom is awesome. But as someone who was on the fence and who found herself pregnant quite unexpectedly, I can say that motherhood has been really amazing for me.
I think you'd make an outstanding mother. But either way, your life will be awesome.
ETA - LOL. Can you tell I have been drinking? The word of the day? IS AWESOME.
Life is better when police can shoot hoops instead of bullets.
Nobody knows that better than police in Kansas City, Missouri, who were caught on camera last week playing a game of basketball in the street with some local kids.
Samuel Lockridge, a special education teacher at J.C. Harmon High School in Kansas City, captured the pickup game on camera last week, then shared the clip on Facebook.
"[Shout out] to [the police] for taking time out to block off the street and play ball wit [sic] the kids," Lockridge wrote in a note accompanying several photos of the game.
"Once upon a time the community had a relationship with their law enforcement," Lockridge added in a follow-up post. "[T]hings like this will get that relationship back intact thankx to all of those who shared the video because of you a neighborhood of kids have had the best 2 days of their lives [all sic]."
"There have been several times we’ve stopped to play basketball with them, throwing the football around and stuff like that,” Officer Todd Templeton, one of the officers in the video, told Kansas City's Fox 4. Templeton added he and the other officers, Tanner Moats and William Hooley, often play around with the kids for 30 minutes or so, someone just happened to record it this time.
"We do this every day -- officers everywhere do this every day," added Hooley, "it just happened to be caught on camera this time."
In separate statements to KMBC, members of the police department said they were surprised the video has been so widely shared online.
"We're doing it for the kids. We love the kids out here. We try to do our best interacting with the kids," Officer Templeton told the station. "They see enough of the bad stuff that goes in the neighborhoods just like we do, and we need to get their mind off of that."
I could use a compliment if I'm no too late! I've been feeling pretty cheaply about myself lately.
I'm going to get to the others before you, but I feel like this is needed now.
You are so fantastic. I loved having lunch with you the other day and wish that we lived even closer so we could do it more often. You have such a challenging job and you do it with caring and passion and that makes such a big difference in the lives of so many. Seriously. Your job is not an easy one, but you kick major ass.
On top of that, you're a wonderful mom! And, to round it all out, you're so beautiful. (OMG, have I talked about your eyes??)
I think you have really awesome advice for parents. I respect the hell out of you even when we don't see eye to eye on stuff, which is more than I can say for many posters. Your relationship with your boys is such an inspiration!

Thank you. You are so sweet and I love how much you dare you husband and son. It is so sweet and inspiring.
I think the rainbow shower is awesome! I think that getting one would make morning showers with the tyrant MUCH more fun for her. Sorry my response was lame - said tyrant was all up in my face being crazy. Kayden and the rain is awesome. One of my favorite C moments was putting her rain boots on and giving her an umbrella and setting her loose in the backyard during a storm. She still brings it up randomly.
I think you are such a great mom! I wish Idaho wasn't so far away because I think we'd have a blast together and our kids would too. (Also, you are super pretty.)

This is so nice! Thank you!
I think you lead a really interesting and well balanced life. It seems like you've really discovered how to juggle family, work, social activities, and health and fitness. You always have positive stuff to contribute to conversations too, and you look awesome in a bikini to boot!
