It started casually. Brooks Brothers here, topsiders there, JCrew for work and home. I admit, I wore hair bows in high school so I was no stranger to the prep. Then, I became a SAHM and Vineyard Vines came around and it was just SO EASY to wear because it fits and is nicely casual and I went steadily downhill. Today I found myself searching for and seriously contemplating personalized seersucker toiletry kits for my kids. WHY THE HELL do my children need seersucker toiletry kits? With their names on them?
SOMEONE PULL ME BACK FROM THE LEDGE before I monogram their foreheads.
You once recommended VV to me, and I had a good laugh over it but didn't have the heart to tell you. lol. I have another girlfriend who loves it too. And Lilly Pulitzer!

I do love a good seersucker though.
I will continue to unapologetically recommend it! I love their clothes, I cannot lie. They fit so well! They're so versatile! What's NOT to love?
Nah, I don't really love Lilly P. I think I'm about 10 years away from jumping aboard that bandwagon. LOL
And LLL, I'm glad you're enjoying your bag. Haha! I don't remember what I gave you in it, but they're very handy bags- I keep them because they hold up pretty well for shopping bags.
I just bought Dopp kits for my boys and had their initials monogrammed onto them. My kids wear seersucker, vow ties, saddle bucks, preppy woven belts, etc. Embrace it!

There is nothing wrong with seersucker or a monogram. There is a store near my parents that sells so much preppy stuff and do an amazing monogram. That's right I have a store I use exclusively for my monogramming.
Also, I see that you're shopping on "preppymonogrammedgifts.com," so I'm back to counseling swift removal from that influence. This isn't that you were perusing some new tennis skirts and happened into the seersucker kits. You sought them out! NO.

LOL! The kids? They travel with their toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, soap, lotion, medicine (allergy and tylenol), bandaids and Neosporin and DD has shampoo and conditioner. And a brush and a comb and barrettes and hair binders. And hair bows. Many, many hair bows. Ahem.
And the toiletry bags happened because I was doing a search for children's toiletry bags and I didn't like them. So I went the fateful one step further and searched for personalized ones. And WALLA! Seersucker!

If embroidered toiletry kits are wrong - I don't want you to be right !

Ah. I throw L's toothbrush and toothpaste into my bag and call it a day. When we travel she uses my stuff. She refuses all hair adornment. That helps.
Side note, there's a special place in my heart for Brooks Brothers. It's just so tasteful.
They make DH's favorite polos. I'm not a fan of the ladies' section though. Maybe when I'm 60.
Yes! I feel the same way. It's awesome stuff for H, though. All of his dress shirts, pants and a lot of his business casual sweaters are from there. It's his new favorite store.
