I run. Sometimes I do Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred or Ripped in 30, and I've been biking once a week, but that's it.
I'm training for the Chicago Marathon right now, so I'm running 4 days a week and cross training once a week. I've noticed a huge difference in my arms, shoulders and abs.
I adore my gym's line dancing class, so I do that 3x a week. I'm trying to add other things. I used to be a Zumba fiend, but haven't found an instructor I like. I may try the next boot camp session, which I can 2-3x a week if I can drag my butt up early.
I try to run 3x a week but I have a bad ankle and some days I end up on the elliptical because it's low impact. I've taken body pump classes before and I really like them! I've been meaning to look into the Jillian Michaels DVDs. Every time we have one of these threads I see several people say they do them.
I play Ultimate (Frisbee) at least once per week all year round. Right now I'm playing three nights which is a lot of running. I really want to get a Fitbit to find out. Ultimate is very high intensity when you are on the field, which I generally am about 75% of the time.
I also am on a women's sail team one night per week. We do local keelboat races. It's not high intensity but it is pretty active and I usually am the grinder which is good arms and back work.
I sometimes supplement with the 30 Day Shred video or extra jogs or yoga at home. I've fallen out of doing this as much the past year due to our first floor reno when the entire living room was moved into my basement workout space. Now that the house is back to normal I really should be doing this on weekends.
Lift 2x/week for about 20-30min (plan to increase bc of kevin arnold amazing ass/bod)
Cardio-spin, elliptical or turbo kickbox for about 60min, 5x a week
Sometimes I think I'm overtraining.
However, I eat a shitton of food
Lurker, fitness instructor butting in. Reading your schedule you're not overtraining. Maybe focus on what you're eating more if you feel like you are? I notice if I don't get enough potassium or magnesium and sometimes iron I feel like poo.
I've been failing at it because schedules often don't work and I'll use any excuse but the plan is:
Monday: swim 30 minutes/50 laps (alternate with legs/arms only/varied strokes) Tuesday: 1h lifting/cardio with personal trainer (combination of hiit, loose weights, TRX, squats, planks and all the lovely things) Wednesday: swim 30 minutes/50 laps (alternate with legs/arms only/varied strokes) Thursday: 1h lifting/cardio with personal trainer (combination of hiit, loose weights, TRX, squats, planks and all the lovely things) Friday: swim 30 minutes/50 laps (alternate with legs/arms only/varied strokes)
I'm trying to change it to 3 times gym and 2 times swim but I'm not fit enough to do it right now...
I'm trying to get back into yoga. I love my local studio, but it's heated. So going back and starting at zero has been brutal.
I haven't really run regularly since I ran the NYC marathon in 2010. I want to run another marathon in 2 years I think. But I'm going to wait until fall to start again. I can't deal with the humidity here (excuses excuses I know).
I LOVED playing Ultimate in college. Just club. But holy fuck is it fun.
I can go on and on about what an awesome and inclusive sport it is. I'm lucky right now in that I play multi-levels: One competitive team where I am far and away the worst player so I get to cut; One lower tier recreational team where I am a stronger player and act as handler; and one higher tier recreational team where I can do whatever I want. Between the three I get very different game experiences which keeps things fresh.
Yoga (heated power vinyasa) usually about 5 times a week.
I'd like to branch out and mix other options in, but I have a hard time finding motivation for anything else. And tbh yoga seems to be working well for me...I started about a year ago and I'm very happy with how much stronger I feel.

I joined Title Boxing three weeks ago......I'm totally hooked. I've been going 3-4 times per week. It's an hour long total body workout that burns between 800-1000 calories. I'm down 9 pounds as of this morning

I do yoga and zumba. I love both but probably don't go as often as I should; I go when my schedule allows me to get to a class, or when I feel like it. I try to get to at least one class a week of each.

I go to the gym 3x/week (10 min cardio, 1 hour weight lifting, 45 min calisthenics) and once per week do something else random- hiking, hula hooping, zumba, insanity, trampoline- whatever. I like some variety :-)
