I am wearing the leopard sneakers that everyone has on style and beauty today. I like them. I got the cheap version, I wish I could have sprung for the Steve Madden version since I already have huge chunks of skin off my heels.
I don't feel it is okay to give your six year old pop/soda. I don't know at what she I will let my kids drink soda if ever since we don't drink it.

It is such a pet peeve of mine to see daycares and preschools with intentional misspellings in their names. For example, "Kidz" or "Korner". Even worse, "Kidz Korner". I don't see the appeal.

This bugs me too! There's one nearby my place called "Kid's Kare".

Scrunchies are back??
Omg i just remembered i was OBSESSED with this one scrunchie in middle school. I would wear it all the time, where the white part wasn't even white anymore. Gross. #hockeynerd

Edie is really big on things being "too spicy" and things that "make [her] cough". Lemonaid is one of those things. I just tell her that soda tastes like lemonaid, but it has bubbles that might not feel good in her mouth (truth!). If she ever wanted to try it, I'd let her. But, really, she only ever wants diluted Pom juice. Ever. "Pomagamit juice" she calls it. Adorable.

I think when you give your kid consequences, they should match the "severity" of the crime and should be age appropriate.
My friend has a two year old who bites at daycare to get what she wants. Instead of knowing that biting happens with toddlers, she's going all out to take toys away the evening of the incident. I'm side-eyeing her.
I guess the juice and soda difference to me is that adults get hooked on soda quite often, but not juice.

But are the adults getting hooked on soda addicted to the sugar or something else, like caffeine? Is it really any different that the moms here who have let their kids taste coffee?

this is funny because the "makes me cough" thing edie says is from coffee. she's never had it. it took me forever to realize "coffee" has the sound "cough" in it. so that's why she thinks that. i just let her.

I wish I hated soda so I could just ban it from my kids ever having it. But dammit I love me some diet coke. We don't keep it in the house, but I often get one at work, and DH and I drink it when we eat out.
I can see myself letting Pey have sprite when she is maybe 5 or something if the occasion arises (birthday party, restaurant, or whatever event she notices and asks for it). My reasoning for sprite is because it's caffeine free, dye free(unlike hi-c crap), and doesn't have the carmel color that cokes have etc.
I tried to quit diet coke several months ago. I made it 3 miserable months. I never stopped craving it. I suck.
dixeedeluxe my nieces call bubbly drinks spicy too. It's adorable.

I kind of want to as well but I don't think I wil.
I don't think soda is that bad if it is in moderation. Like just a parties, or just at holidays, etc. I am an everything in moderation though. I do wish all soda was made with real sugar, because at that point I don't find it worse than lemonade, tea with sugar, etc.
I just saw the preview for the Fifty Shades movie and I can't stand the girl they cast for Anastasia. Her haircut bothers me a lot with those disheveled bangs. And Christian has one helluva body but I saw him being more stunningly handsome. I'm disappointed.

YES. I do not want to send my kid somewhere when you can't even spell the name correctly.
I love soda, but try not to have it that often. We've started letting Abby have her own soda. I don't see it as being any worse than letting her have candy or other junk food, which we also try to limit.

This is part of the reason I've never watched the twilight movies. They didn't live up to the images on my head.
I hate tattoos, they can be beautiful works of art, I can appreciate that, but I really hate them. My MIL, SIL and sister have them, I think they're all awful. I will not prevent the boys from getting them, but I will not allow it while I'm supporting them in any way. When they're living on their own and I'm not helping them financially they have my blessing.
