I can't find a Thanksgiving photo.. how about our first New Year's together? This was at our favorite bar that no longer exists. I also made that scarf 2008-2009 New Year's!
Our first Thanksgiving while dating we were in different countries since I was on a family cruise (2005). I think 2006 was the year my family left for Thanksgiving dinner without me, so I drove back to college an hour and a half away and H landed up driving down that night to surprise me and took me out to dinner at Denny's. I have no Thanksgiving pictures of us together though. Here are two random pics from 2005 though.
I was probably 12 or so the first time we spent Thanksgiving together, so no pic of that. Here's our first married Thanksgiving, though, in 2012. Every Thanksgiving my family goes on a walk before dinner and takes pictures.
After my last marathon in 2012...had a huge PR (just short of 30 min faster than my previous 6 marathons) thanks to my amazingly supportive husband and running partner the last 10k. He also was a lifesaver getting my inhaler...not that it helped much but I'm sure it helped expedite the recovery (I had an asthma attack the last 12 miles...it took a good 5 days to be able to breathe again)
I don't have any Thanksgiving pics but this one is after a parade we marched in before we were married.
I miss white shirts. We wear navy blue shirts here and it gets so so hot here in the summer. Urggg
We were wearing class A uniforms and it was 90 degrees out. I hated the shirts lol. They were long sleeved then with the jacket, hat and white gloves I thought I was going to pass out at the end. Our fire house now wears Class B uniforms so it's a lot more comfortable.
We are suppose to wear white shirts at my job but I destroyed 2 in one week and they still haven't replaced them yet. I had some blue polos from the early days of the company so I wear them. In the summer the white is horrible for us. They stain way too easily.
@emtmissy- I love the blue shirts because they do not stain as easy. But in 100 degree weather they suck. They are WOOL shirts, who the F gives paramedics wool shirts?!?!?
We have never had long sleeve shirts and if we did I would die. For formal wear we just wear our regular uniform and a clip on tie. It's not so bad.
awick14 wool? What the heck are they thinking? I thought our polyester/cotton blend shirts were bad. My company has no clue what they want us to wear so we are usually wearing different shirts. They change their minds more than their underwear.
@emtmissy- Lol! Our shirts were designed and made by people that have never worked outside in 100+ degree weather pulling patients out of weird places.
