emsumm, I am so sorry for you and your family about this news. Your mom sounds like a very well-loved woman with lots of great people around her, including you.

Very sorry to hear all of this. Brain involvement is really tough, and I am sure it is hard to think about her missing the new additions to your family. Not to sound stalkerish, but I remember speaking with you (on the boards) about her last year, because I think she was diagnosed around the same time as my mother. My mother also made the decision to let go, though in her case it was clear that it was time. It was very hard to accept, though I understand why she did it. Take care of yourself as you spend time with your family. I hope that all of you find peace with whatever happens.
