Have you shown any signs of pre-term labor? I think that losing a pet will be stressful regardless of whether you are with him. Maybe call your OB just in case, but I really don't think this is going to put you in labor.
Unless you have had other signs of preterm labour I would not worry about it. When I was pregnant with my son we were almost homeless. We literally had one day to find a place after the first place we put an offer on fell through, all the hotels, B&B'S, etc were booked and we had just moved to England so we knew no one. I had really bad stomach cramps, but not labour/contraction type ones and I carried him until 39w4d.
Do you feel it's going to be a stressful experience for you? Obviously the loss overall is stressful, but personally I think it would stress me out more not to be there. Not to mention the stress of arguing over it.
We had to put our dog to sleep on Tuesday and I felt I had to be there. H was there with me, but I probably would have been okay to do it alone if he didn't think he could be there. I knew that it was the right decision and that we were doing it to help him, and the vet reassured us of this as well. It was sad, and I cried, but I was okay. Hugs.
Your pup is going to pass either way. I don't think it makes much difference.
And to me, this would just be sad. Not really all that stressful. If you feel very upset and anxious after, just be sure to relax and talk to a friend.
I'm sorry this is happening, but I'm sure you'll be physically fine.
I am sorry you have to put your dog down. So sad! I don't think you will go into pre-term labor. I think you will be ok. You are going to be sad and upset if you are with or at home.
I am so sorry for your Hs losses. I can defiantly understand why he is a little worried about you. Hopefully him coming with you will help ease his anxiety. ((Hugs))
((Hugs)) I'm sorry you are having to put your dog to sleep.
I agree with everyone else, if you have not had signs of pre-term labor I think you will be fine. But definitely after going, call your doctor if you feel any different and are concerned.
