I will NOT click that.
Over on the island near my house sits a GORGEOUS, huge, white farmhouse. I LOVE IT.
But there are doll/mannequin heads in the windows of the attic, plainly visible from the road. Multiple heads. I think they're burglar prevention, because THAT is a horror movie already halfway through.

Yikes, very bizarre. One of our neighbors has a full sized mannequin sitting on his boat dock, to scare away people from using it as a lake entrance. It still creeps me out, especially when I look out late at night and see the silhouette in the moonlight.
OMG that it was actually a little old lady trying to be nice and leave dolls for kids.
I feel bad that she did something out of the kindness of her heart that did not go over as planned. However, I am shocked that someone would think, "Let me just leave dolls that look EXACTLY like the kid living here on their porches when they aren't home" and not understand that could be creepy lol.

I feel really sad for the old lady. She was just trying to do a nice thing.
Me too, exactly. How embarrassing that a gesture of kindness was so blown out of proportion. In retrospect, she probably wishes she had never done this anonymously.
My parents just moved out of San Clemente so of course they were all freaking the fuck out over it. I cannot wait to send this update to my mom. "Hide yo kids, Hide yo wife!"
Man I'm just glad I was right. And since I inherited my grandmothers ridiculously large porcelain doll collection I now know what I'm going to do with them someday.
Don't leave a collection of porcelain dolls to your kids/grandkuds. I've hauled five very delicate boxes through three states and 7 house moves omfg
