For as outspoken as I am about a woman's right to feed anywhere she pleases, I'm very reserved about it myself.
I've only taken one pic of DS2 nursing, but that pic means so much to me. I took it a week or two ago (and he's almost 1). It shows my scar from the surgery I had for mastitis when he was 3 weeks old. My surgeon told me I had to stop feeding the baby or I'd never heal. He didn't even want me to try feeding only on one side. Thanks to a great nurse, lactation consultant, Breastfeeding support group on FB, and a lot of surgical gauze, we made it work! It's quite possibly one of the things I am most proud of in my life.
Ok. You all just made me feel totally better. I was looking at my photo stream the other day and saw a couple of BF pictures I took early on. Then I wondered if I was a weirdo. Apparently not! I love how she looks when she feeds, especially when she puts her hands on my breast, it's so peaceful!
