If dd2 sleeps past 5:30a you guys are going to hear me praise the powers of the almighty amber necklace. Don't worry, it's under her jams around her ankle right now.
I'm up with a sick little guy. He has a cough that's preventing sleep. Nothing like being sick on vacation. I've given him some Advil and spent 20 minutes in a steamy bathroom. Nursing him now.
I think I've hit my.3rd trimester pregnancy wall. 8 more weeks of this? No f'ing way. Don't get me wrong, I am so thankful to be in this place, but my gosh I forgot how uncomfortable and painful it gets.
Well I was coping with long bubble baths. Which I was about to do when I discovered the water heater problem. Sob.
I thought no hot baths when you are pregnant? Not trying to make you feel bad but I deprived myself last pregnancy and would love to have them next time if they are cool. But I like the water HOT.
I think it has to be pretty hot to be an issue. Like hot tub hot. Mine are hot but not steamy or anything.
I basically spent the last month of my pregnancy with C in the bath and he turned out okay, anyway.

I need to have this baby before I lose my mind. Why is it so much harder this time? I'm cranky the dr made it seem like ANY MINUTE NOW yesterday.
Nothing exciting to report. Some random contractions. Some pressure. I went three days over with DD, and everyone kept saying I would go early this time. I hate everyone.
I laid down to go to bed early and one minute later DS starts to cry. If this is a sign of how the night will go, I might list him on buy/sell page. (Kidding, mostly). Starting this weekend we are on nap boot camp, maybe that will help with night sleep.
Someone (Jalapeñomel?) recommended this in a toy thread so I added it to my wish list...I needed something to go with my add on item and looked at my list and it was $10, down from $40! It made my night. H didn't share my level of enthusiasm, haha.

I took one almost every day when I was pregnant, but I waited until like 11 weeks or something.

Not me, but that looks awesome! Maybe it was in my thread about ball toys!
We had a fantastic evening. DH cooked, long family walk, then a fire. DH is reading stories now while I kill the last 1.5ish glasses of prosecco. Probably an episode of Buffy later.
Makes me a bit worried about having another some day. Things are relatively easy now.
Sounds wonderful and this is exactly the sort of evening I fantasize about on the regular right now lol.

Oh yeah mine are steamy
I took steamy baths nightly when pregnant with DD (we didn't have a shower). If the water was hot enough to make me sweat, I added a little cold water. She's fine.
Yankees21 Me! We have that! It was our #1 toy from 6 months to probably a year. It has maybe five songs and one of them is a kiddie version of "I like to move it move it." I always pressed the button until it got to that one because it was awesome. lol!
Thanks!! I am irrationally excited to get it, lol.

I tried giving DS garbanzo beans, chopped tomato, and chopped cuke for dinner. He threw it on the floor so the dog ate it. So DS ate 1/2 pint of blueberries for dinner, his standard meal. I feel like I'm a sucker.
Then we had music class, and he's so darn smiley through most of it. He only tried to go to 3 different moms while we were there. What the heck, kiddo?

C just got one of these for his birthday. I thought it would be a little young for him, but he seems to like it so far!
We went out for burgers tonight and had a cheese curd/onion ring baby. He seriously loves food, in any form.
Omg, my husband is watching Grown Ups 2 and I can hear him cackling out in the living room every few minutes like it's the funniest thing he has ever seen. He's like a damn teenage boy.
DD figured out the Exersaucer today. I have it on the middle hole but I need to try it on the top hole tomorrow to see if that is the right one for her lanky 27" self. She isn't big enough for the seat though so we stuffed a Boppy head suppport pillow in front of her. It's comical but it buys me 10 mintues of happy baby jail.
I took a couple of baths while pregnant. It sounded really appealing in third tri but I spent the entire bath worrying how I was going to get out (DH was out of town). I also asked my doc if I could go in the hot tub while on my cruise and she said I could so long as it was 102 degrees or less and I stayed in for only ten minutes. I actually hate really hot showers and baths but love the hot tub.
B has officially pushed his bedtime back to 7:30, from 6:45. On the one hand it's fun to have more time to play with him. On the other hand, 45 more minutes of crazy baby. He is all about climbing all over us and when we leave the room he runs after us and cries even though I know he's tired. Tonight it was only for three minutes and he crawled back to bed on his own but I miss being able to actually put him to bed happy.
I'm super anxious and having trouble making a decision so please make it for me. If our 2 carry on items are stuffed would you add a 3rd bag just so you can get to things easier? Everything is in pockets or in small bags so it's not a bunch of loose stuff.
Eta: 3rd bag would be DS's carry on
I would keep a third bag on hand. What if you can't re-stuff everything back in exactly and need to run? At least you can throw it in the third bag and go.
And let me add that this is the first time I have been home alone without my husband since the baby was born. I am watching TV for the first time since like maternity leave back in January. I need to fold some laundry or something, the apartment is a tornado style mess.

DH is the same way with Grown Ups! He kept watching it every time it was on tv, when hbo or whatever movie channel had it on all the time. He hasn't watched the 2nd one as much, to my knowledge. I just didn't find it that funny!
Last night DS had a bad night - up crying from teething. DH got up with him and let him fall asleep on his chest, and then he fell asleep too. I was able to get a pic of that cuteness this morning since I woke up before they did.
I think we might be on the other side of the 3w growth spurt.
DS has been straining to get farts out last night and tonight. He's been easily letting them rip until now, and he's burped after feeding. The on call nurse at the pedi said this is normal and only to give gas drops if he's crying. It's disconcerting to hear someone straining.like that right next to you. He's pooping just fine too. In fact, he projectile popped on H today. I laughed so hard I peed a little.
