No napping 3.5 year old and nap cut short for 2 year old equals meltdown city this evening.
I just tossed DS2 in his pnp even though DH and DS1 ate still in the room reading stories. Having the boys share a room is usually great. It just sucks when schedules get screwy and one needs to go bed before the other.
My h just came down to tell me that he peeked in on DD, and she was sitting up in her crib, her small blankie on her head, bringing her pooh bear to her face to give it a kiss . Repeatedly. Not making any noise. Creepy!
Now I'm glad we don't have a video monitor! I'd be worried my sweet girl was possessed.
It's rained every day since I've been in NC. Thankfully J sleeps through the storms, but I don't. The weather sucks because we are going home to a state where it rains every day in the summer. I feel like J and I aren't going to get outside until Fall.
Listening to C on the monitor in the morning is my favorite. It's like he wakes up and just starts talking about whatever's on his mind or singing quietly. It's super cute. This morning he was just going "choo choo, choo choo" softly over and over.
(There are still mornings when he screams but those are less and less common lately.)
Neurotic mom check in? Just popped my head into Bs room to check on him and the cat snuck by me! Cue me running after him, thankfully B didn't wake up. I can't decide if we should replace the video monitor or I should just abide by my no checking rule. Grr.
bananapancakes how long did it take for the Merlin thing to come? How many did you get. I am so scared to have her not swaddled. I was just thinking about this tonight. Might be time to order one.
DD has taken to being very cranky for about an hour every evening. This has led me to be ever so grateful that she doesn't have colic. I have no idea how moms with colicky babies do it.
Abby Cadaby (I think that's how it's spelled) from Sesame Street. Dd doesn't watch SS, only elmos world, but she somehow knows and loves Abby, who she calls "Habby" lol.
ah yes. J is obsessed with "COOKIE MONSTER" and I don't understand it. I swear she has seen him ONCE.
This is the second birthday cake I am considering.
C had a Cookie Monster themed birthday and has never seen the show, he just loved the stuffed Cookie Monster someone gave him as a gift at my shower.
I am having close to the perfect night solo parenting. He was in a good mood, ate most of his food, his grandma & I did story time in his room, and then he fell asleep on the early side and pretty quickly. I just hope he doesn't wake up too early tomorrow!
msniq is at the Stitch n Pitch tonight with her knitting friends. Mom & I are watching 8 out 10 cats does countdown, one of the British comedy shows I enjoy.
If I didn't know it was 95% unlikely, I would swear I was pregnant. I've been super tired, peeing a lot and urgently, my hips started hurting today and sometimes I swear I feel something kicking around in there. But we've only had sex at 6 weeks pp and 18 weeks pp(um, sorry H!). Negative test at 10 weeks for my IUD. Sex at 18 weeks would make me 12-ish weeks and unlikely to feel kicks. I'm just going crazy!
My kid is so short! 26 inches, 17 percentile. At least he's average weight too otherwise he's probably be as wide as he is tall.
I'm super anxious and having trouble making a decision so please make it for me. If our 2 carry on items are stuffed would you add a 3rd bag just so you can get to things easier? Everything is in pockets or in small bags so it's not a bunch of loose stuff.
Eta: 3rd bag would be DS's carry on
Ehhhh I'd just take the two bags, I hate having multiple things to carry in the airport.

Anyone with an eleven week old, what time does she go to bed? I do 8:30 but then she is awake at 4:30 and it can take a long time to get her back to sleep.
DD is almost 13 weeks, and we try and get her down around 8:00pm. She's up for the day around 7 or 8am, but she also still getting up twice a night to eat. :?
How the F do I get my kid to sleep in his crib? This is our 3rd failed attempt. He's dog tired, fell asleep while nursing, but woke up wailing within 20 minutes of being placed in the crib. This happened twice. As soon as I put him in the RNP- Bam! Out like a light.
I'm the first to admit this week has been insane. ILs are moving here and we're all off schedule and staying out later, helping them get settled. Then we'll be out of town part of next week, then I go back to work. I think I may put this on hold until everything calms down. I need the sleep!
How long do 1yo molars take to break through? No really... HOW LONG? I have been able to feel them for seriously four months. DD is almost 14 mos.
My dd's came in at 10 months like bam all within a couple weeks. She is crazy early with teeth though. The canines have been showing white for months and only one is broken through. So yeah those seem worse

I got 2 Chaplin diapers for retail from cotton babies. I'm pretty excited. Both are 4.0 and I wanted a flip, but maybe I can find someone to trade.
For some reason Nods some up like an hour ago perfectly happy, but note she won't go back to sleep. My husband and I are tag teaming it. Lucky I took a nap from like 7:30-10 tonight.
I woke up at 2 when J normally has been waking up, and he didn't. I got super excited and went back to sleep. He decided to get up at 4 instead. I thought I was in the clear.
If dd2 sleeps past 5:30a you guys are going to hear me praise the powers of the almighty amber necklace. Don't worry, it's under her jams around her ankle right now.

La la la I can't hear you (we are going to attempt the RNP to crib transition in about 2 weeks). This makes me nervous that we will have the same result.

I bought them from a lady on kijiji. She was selling both the 3-6 and the 6-9 for $44 including shipping which I think is a great deal! They got to me in 3 days too! Last night went well and if it continues to go well, I may buy a back up set just in case.
bananapancakes the magic sleep suits were truly magical for us. The best thing we ever did and he LOVED them. I am hoping the magic spreads to you and your little one continues to sleep
