I need help from those of you who have already gone through this stage. DD is not big on crawling, she prefers to stand and walk around holding onto furniture or us.
Shoes here are double the price in the US so I'm going to buy them online and have them shipped here. However, that means I don't get to see the shoes in person and decide for myself. My question is: which brand is best? Pediped? Stride Rite? SKR? Or is there another you would recommend?
DD does not have wide feet but I've honestly preferred the Stride Rite SRT soft motion shoes over the others. I know SKR is really popular on this board but I just haven't been that impressed with ours. Our SRs hold up and the soft sole with traction and toe bumpers are great for younger walkers. For a girl, I prefer the mary jane styles (including sneaker styles) because they are really easy to get on and off.

Barefoot is great for walking. Leather crib shoes (Robeez, etc) are good for new walkers too, M wore them forever. He was 20 months when he got his first pair of real shoes, he started walking at 12mo. I'm mobile & can't see tickers, but I wouldn't feel like you have to buy shoes ASAP. Barefoot is best, especially at home
