I just started I Am Having So Much Fun Here Without You by Courtney Maum. It sounded good, but I'm only a few pages in so can't tell yet. I'm setting it aside for now and trying Rainbow Rowell's Landline. The main character was not working for me right now and I was getting overly distracted by misplaced apostrophes and weird sentence structures.
I'm reading the Lowland by Jhumpa Lahiri. I'm about 1/3 of the way done and it's decent. I want to finish it and start the Guns of August before the end of the month.
I'm re-reading An Echo in the Bone to remember what's going on before I start Written in my Own Heart's Blood. Obviously I like it or I wouldn't be re-reading it.
I'm also listening to The Golem and the Jinni on audiobook. I'm not very far into it yet, but enjoying it so far.
A Dance with Dragons - I think last week I was 27% through it and as of last night I only made it to 31%. It's slow going. I am really enjoying it but I take this series slowly.
A Mother's Hope - Not bad. I think I'm about halfway through now. There's nothing special about the book but I enjoy getting away from my usual.
Wintergirls - I started this earlier this week but the format I have is not easy to read so I'm going to get a paperback copy form the library. It seems to be an interesting read so far.
The Giver - I am very early into this book. I have no clue how I feel about it yet.
I'm reading The Paris Architect. It's pretty good.
I finished Landline the other week. It was not my favorite Rainbow Rowell book which made me sad because I love her.
I also just finished One Plus One, which is by the woman who wrote Me Before You. I loved it.
I read Goldfinch last year, so I'll keep an eye on that discussion. I really enjoyed it.
I also recently finished The Storied Life of AJ Fikry. It was a really cute book. I loved all the references to other books and authors and it made me want to go read a bunch of short stories I had never read.

I was reading NurtureShock but my Nook Tablet crapped out on me and I have yet to replace it. I hate reading it on my phone so I went to the library to pick up a few other books until I get a new e-reader.
I'm currently reading TransAtlantic by Column McCann. I'm not really certain what's going on yet in the book as there are 2 separate story lines going on so far but I'm enjoying it well enough.
3 of my library ebook holds came through this week: Me Before You(Jojo Moyes) , Anna and the French kiss, and Attachments (rainbow rowell) . I'm reading Me Before You first since it came up before Attachments and I'm enjoying it now, was a little slow at first.
I think the French Kiss one is YA teeny bopper stuff so I'm saving it till last, in case I don't get to it.
I'm reading the Lowland by Jhumpa Lahiri. I'm about 1/3 of the way done and it's decent. I want to finish it and start the Guns of August before the end of the month.
After reading all of Lahiri's books and short stories, I have decided that I much prefer her short stories. And I generally don't like short stories.

I can see that. The pace of this novel is not... quick.

These are all good, quick reads. You'll tear through them. Enjoy!
I just finished Me Before You. I'm in tears and I need to go to bed.
Oh no, that's next on my to-read pile, and I don't know if I can handle a tear jerker right now.
I just started The Accursed by Joyce Carol Oates. So far it's dry, then interesting, then dry again. I haven't decided if I'm going to stick with it yet.
Just the last bit, really it was emotional tears than sadness tears
Don't make fun of me, but I just finished the third 50 Shades book. I tried to read them when everyone was all a buzz about them but they're so badly written that I couldn't get into them. They're still badly written, but I least I know what all the hype is about.
I also finished reading Magic Rises by Ilona Andrews. It's book six in the Kate Daniels series, urban fantasy genre. I pretty much finished all six books in two weeks. They're really good.
I've started reading The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness. I can't get in to it, so I think I"ll probably put it back on the shelf for now. This happened to me with her first two books. It took me awhile to get hooked.
I'm reading The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. About 75 pages in and really enjoying it. I work in the medical science field so I'm fascinated by the science of cell culture. I am also really interested to learn about the woman behind it all.

I'm looking forward to reading that. (I think) it's our September Book Club book.

Great book. I am in no way into science and all that but this was a very interesting read.

The way the author has written it, she really brings Henrietta to life! It's our pick for my IRL book club and I mentioned that even if you weren't a science nerd like me that it would be enjoyable.

I think you will really enjoy it! So far it's not very 'clinical' and I think that makes it more relate-able. I will have to keep my eye out for the thread for that month.

I just finished the Heart is a Lonely Hunter tonight. Hated it. Obviously from goodreads a lot of people are fans, but I just couldn't get into it. I will give the author props for writing so beautifully at such a young age.
I'm also reading Jack & Jill on my nook. I love me some Alex Cross now and then. Gotta love Nana Mama!
I have a Jojo Moyes book to start soon too. I love love loved Me Before You - DH walked in on me in hysterics at the end though
