DH has been gone since 6:15 this morning. He went into work early, left there early, and is currently fishing. Much deserved after having to be a single parent this week, but today has been a LONG day. Thankfully, it appears N is going down easily.
I made Crème brûlée today, his favorite. On a whim, I spiked 2 of the 4 ramekins with RumChata. I cannot wait to dig in.
H and I talked over dinner and we are both legit excited for another baby boy now. Wheeee! Honestly it was just so awesome to see him healthy and active.
We are in nap time over here with the time difference, but DD is down and I hope she sleeps long because she caught a nasty cold. Any folksy, simple tips of helping a baby get through a cold? We are traveling and don't have our arsenal of stuff, most importantly the nose frida.

I love Ds's new routine for getting into bed. Basically we zip him into his new sleep sac which has leg holes. He gets up, and gathers up all the folds like a lady picking up her skirts, walks over to dh who picks him up. Then we do a group hug, group kiss, and all say "Bonne nuit". It's so. Sweet. I then swiftly exit the room while dh dumps him into the crib.
hermione I'm going with teeth. E is working on the bottom canines and it's like a baby Jekyll sometimes. Oh and so.much.drool. She has never drooled like this before.
My hairdresser gave me some good advice about work. Her DH works on the same base so she understands the environment.
Had an ultrasound this afternoon. Baby is head down and my partial previa has moved! Baby is still a girl and is looking good. Dd went with me for the first tIME and was really excited. When we left I asked her what she thought about the appointment and she said it was boring
I packed my Kindle just in case nothing else worked on our road trip. Well I just brought it out to give it to him. Of course he is totally hooked and happy, yay. Too bad I didn't charge it. Praying my 15% charge gets us to 9:15. Eta 9:30 but first we have to stop at the pharmacy I called in a script for more estrogen pills for since I'm totally out.
Is it normal to burst into tears when you realize your baby is outgrowing clothes she has never worn? Because that's me right now.
Yep! I hate when I have to start packing away DD's clothes because they are getting small and I realize there were some outfits she never wore or only wore a few times. Then I get sad that my baby is getting big and sit in her room and cry. Yes, I need help.
H is apparently working late tonight so it's just been me and DS. I wanted to take a quick shower before bed because I always feel dirty after work so I put DS in his bouncy seat in the bathroom like I normally do. After a fe minutes I peek out from the shower and he is sitting up completely reaching for the floor. I guess peaceful showers while he chills are over

DH does bedtime differently than me; I'm always scared he's going to screw up all my hard work. He put her down today, she is currently rolling around talking.
We have been trying to get DD down for an hour and a half and she shows no sign of going down. Ugggh. I thought we were done with this. I think being up late at the wedding we attended last weekend undid all of our hard work on bedtime.
This is dumb but for some reason I always assumed we'd have a flexible go with the flow kid. I don't want to be a hardass about bedtime but I also don't want to spend days or weeks paying for a fun late night.

I'm 12 weeks so it's obviously subject to change but the tech was REALLY confident and had no hesitation about "guessing."

We got V down at 8:30 tonight, an hour after we normally do. We bought a car yesterday and DH wanted to go pick it up from the dealership because it was ready, so we were there past her normal bedtime. I'm nervous about how tonight will go. She's been sleeping pretty well, but then last night (or this morning I guess) she woke up at 4 and never went back to sleep. She was up from 4 am - 8:30 pm today with a total of 40 minutes of sleep during the day :? . She's so overtired I'm afraid things are going to be rough tonight.
watching Brie's posts both makes me yearn for a baby yet be totally terrified to go through all that craziness again. I am worried baby 2 will kill us.
I will let you know how it goes. I basically feel the same way about it.

I have no idea how people have 2 kids close together. I am calmer with #2, but he has been a lot more challenging of a newborn than dd. I can't imagine doing this with a toddler.
B is rolling around the PNP in the closet area of the hotel room while H and I are laying in the dark room. Boo. My last hotel stay with him was a much better setup in which I could turn on a light and potentially watch tv.

I'm nervous about DD moving into her room tonight. Nervous it will be too warm. Nervous she will roll over and get stuck face down. Nervous she won't sleep in there and we will be up all night.
