LOL. I'm there. I have enforced quiet time. She can stay in her room and play or in the LR but I've made it clear I am NOT playing with her for an hour. Somedays she does well with it, somedays she decides to take a nap instead.
DD does sleep a bit later but goes to bed almost an hour early which has been sanity saving.
Our problem is by 5pm she is a hot mess until bedtime. I think she just has to work through it on her own. I've been trying to errands/the pool/something super fun in that time to stop the whining!
We had a short period of about a week at 2.5 where he didn't nap but I kept putting him in his room each day. I told him it's quiet time no matter what each day so you can sleep or lay quietly. He went back to napping and is 3 now & still going strong. He is my wild child and for some reason doesn't dare leave his room once I close the door so that might have something to do with it? Not sure but hang in there!

Almost all of this is us - especially the bolded. He will sleep if we go in the car, but lately I can't get him to fall asleep after lunch. I think we're going to start an earlier bedtime (7:00) for both because DS1 starts kindergarten in September and he's an early riser, too.

Yeah, it's been a month of this nap or not routine and it's getting better now that I've adjusted bedtime earlier. I've also been known to take her for a run/walk with me so she gets somewhat of a catnap to make it through dinner.
