Glad everyone had a good weekend! DH and I were super busy and did some back breaking yard work today. Not a MM weekend as we are having the house painted, new carpet and AC just went out
I can't wait to get to work tomorrow to get in the AC!

aww @mrschicken I'm glad you had a great weekend!
Ours was great too! Last night we had some new friends over for a BBQ. Today we went to a Meetup group at a local brewery and had a blast. It's awesome to finally have our town feel like "home", after a year.
Now we're home, watching The Next Food Network Star and Manhattan. I'm drinking wine and GBCNing.

I thought of you this weekend--one of my best friends from HS got married in your neck of the woods yesterday:)
All three of my girls are peacefully sleeping. I'm vegging out on the couch watching a movie.
DH is mowing the lawn.
You seem so relaxed considering everything that has happened in your family this weekend! I hope the three girls stay sleeping soundly for a long time.
Both boys are in bed, I'm putting together a new kid-friendly playlist for my iPod so we have some music no one will argue about tomorrow while we drive to the zoo, and my H is finally coming home this week!
I just got back from a girls weekend with 3 of my high school girlfriends - so fun to catch up, have a spa day, and hang by the pool with them. Now I'm sitting on the couch putting DS to sleep and spending time with DH.

Awwwwh, glad you are happy. Your post sounded so warm and expansive. I love grateful posts. DH is out of town for a few days, the kids are out of town with their grandma so I had a day to myself. Took the dogs for a long walk and had a Mexican/Asian fusion dinner with my two sisters. I love my kids and DH, but it's nice to have a quiet house.
So glad everyone is - H and I are 99% packed for our upcoming trip....I do not recall wanting and needing a vacation this badly ever. Ack!
I really want to plan your next Washington/ Idaho/ Montana trip for you! I have so many great places and off-the-beaten-path suggestions that I think you'd get a kick out of!
It was a good weekend on my end. Low key Friday, Saturday afternoon board meeting for an organization I'm really excited about, bachelorette party Saturday night (I haven't laughed that hard in a long time). Then hanging with DD while H hiked this morning, got a ton of work done while DD took a 4.5 hour nap (!), and dinner out with friends. I wish I had one more day home to clean the house and feel totally prepared for this week, but whatever.
I've had such a great weekend with dh--i love it when it is the perfect balance of getting shit done and relaxing and having fun together.
Yes! I love those weekends so much. I love the way you described it.
My weekend was not great by most standards - didn't get anything done, spent most of today avoiding FIL, then fought with H. BUT, I feel like our argument was actually really productive, and he and I also worked through some emotions about our loss earlier this year that I (apparently) really needed to talk about. So I feel much better. And he's currently doing the dishes, so, win.
Now I am just preparing for our trip (I have a week off between jobs and we're heading up to the mountain town where we were married for the next three days). Then I have a massage scheduled for Thursday and for the rest of the week/weekend I will get to see some friends and family that I haven't seen in awhile. So I am so looking forward to this week and I really think this R&R will leave me refreshed. Can't wait.

I think I'm still in a little bit of shock. Haha.
Although, we were going to go to church yesterday and grocery shopping. Than decided we might need a bit more practice with getting three kids ready on time... DH went by himself.
