No....no pranks. We ended up way over our heads on a home project and I got distracted. Soon though.....soon
Be sure to let us know when you do!
Nothing new yet, right now he is waiting on finding out when he's going to interview with the last person (she missed the one last week) He's not expecting to hear something until probably tomorrow or Wed, I'm hoping it's sooner.
Well I think everyone wants a krystee update today!!
So we are moving, but don't have a date yet which is why I didn't say anything yet. I have a ton of moving related questions I will post once I have a date to announce (1-3 weeks away from a date still). I'm looking at houses but we are going to live in a temporary situation until we find the right place to buy.
Yay that's great! You are brave to do a long distance move with a newborn.
MrsMB, what project did you guys work on this weekend?
We finally went up into our attic to look around. We got a chance to glance at it when we bought it but hadn't gotten a close enough look. It's a GREAT space! The house is brand new and the attic is in great shape. DH decided he could put insulation up there (he's done it in our last house) and put in a floor up there. It will be a nice BIG area of storage for us. We're pretty pumped. It took $1100 in supplies, but the storage we get from it is priceless. He got done putting in the insulation last night. He'll get the floor put in today and maybe through Wednesday of this week.
I greatly appreciate how handy he is. He put in hardwood flooring for us at our last house.
That's impressive! My H is fairly handy too, but often he likes to wing it and just see if he can fix things. More often than not he can, but it's after some trial and error.
Do you have a basement as well? I have a tiny attic that isn't useful for storage, but my basement is pretty big.
@moonbeam No basement. We just have an attic. We do have a storage building behind our house. His goal is to keep the storage building for lawn/yard items that are messy that he simply doesn't want in the house.
jjwritergirl Good luck on the house hunt!!! So exciting! I know the insulation will help the temperatures. DH is more knowledgeable about it then I am.
We just moved into our new house on Wednesday and we love it! We are however finding things daily that still need fixed :/ the builders are on vacation so hopefully we get it all taken care of when they get back.
jjwritergirl moving with a baby is hard but totally doable. DD is almost 4 months and we just did it. I'm glad you have someone coming to help you pack, that was the biggest challenge. New houses are so much fun!

jjwritergirl- So excited that you guys are able to move closer to home! Congrats! Wishing you guys a smooth move...hopefully you find the home of your dreams fast!
HoneySpider- Hope you guys get a great update soon! Really hope you and your DH can get closer to your families!
krystee- Thinking of you and praying that you get the best news today/tomorrow! Speaking of...can you please tell the lab that a bunch of friends are anxiously awaiting your results and therefore they should post them today and not tomorrow!?!?
mrssandro- How are you doing? How's the new job? Been thinking of you and hoping that everything is going well!
jjwritergirl - any new news on your H's job search? MrsMB did you end up pranking your H? ginkgoleaf are you enjoying being a SAHM?
I am! The hardest part is the battle of getting dressed. He will want to go someplace but refuses to dress himself or let me help. Still working on it and it's almost 11am! But for the most part it is great. He slept till 7:45 this morning and we snuggled in bed for awhile. Just love him. It's awesome to not have to go to work, have so much flexibility in my day, more free time, more time with DS, etc. I am very happy with the decision.
Yay that's great! You are brave to do a long distance move with a newborn.
I won't pretend that I'm not massively nervous, but moving somewhere with family to help and where I am familiar with is much easier than the opposite. At least I know what I'm getting into there.
My grandma is going to come help watch M while I pack.
Good luck! We just moved over the weekend with a three month old and it really wasn't so bad. Someone pointed out to me that it was better to do it now, before she was crawling and/or walking and they were totally right.
Work has good and bad days. The job is frustrating and I can see why some people don't love the job and end up leaving or getting fired. I can't wait until I am in a better place so I can start looking for another job. Probably 3 ish months after maternity leave.
A) I have finished my guest bathroom and painting my kitchen and breakfast nook. Waiting on backsplash and kitchen will be finished at that point (aside from the lighting fixtures but those won't be done anytime soon). Living room is next, already taped and ready for tomorrow.
B) awaiting my IVF consult Aug 18, hoping for late September/early October retrieval and transfer. I told my new boss last week and she seemed super supportive. (I needed to tell her so I could have some flexibility with my schedule around then).
C) I was bored at work yesterday and started googling nurse practitioner programs. Yall, there are infertility NPs. They mostly have FNP (family nurse practitioner) or WHNP (womens health nurse practitioner) degrees. Of course, only the big clinics in the big cities will hire them, but that would be an awesome job for me eventually, I think.
mrssandro- ((hugs)) Sorry the job is just okay for now. Hope these next few months fly by and you find a better job soon after you start looking!
pooh8402- You were on my mind driving this morning. I like this update and hope and pray that IVF works for you and your DH! I'm rooting for you girl! And yes, you would be the perfect fit for an infertility NP! Hope that if it's something you choose to pursue that everything just falls into place for you!
elliemonster21 Did we get an update? If we had and I missed it, I'm so sorry!
4dpo! Had alotta sex in the FW lol. Even if it didn't this cycle, I will feel better starting testing knowing we went balls out this cycle lol. We shall see!
