Since my DD was born in June, I've only bought diapers three times -- once with gift cards and a coupon and then the latest two Target deals that were posted here (you guys rule!). Apart from these occasional Target deals, where is usually the best place to buy diapers and save $$? I don't have a membership to a big-box store and I live in a big city, so no car. We get the paper on Sunday but the single coupon insert sucks. It's usually for Lenscrafters and Centrum Silver vitamins. I signed up for coupons, etc. at the diaper company websites. Is Amazon subscribe and save or Diapers.com a good option?
Same deal with formula. I've signed up with the Similac site, but haven't gotten any coupons or checks just yet. The formula I've purchased so far has been at CVS, when they send me 30 percent off total purchase coupons. Am I missing any other avenues to save money on formula?

Diapers.com is a good option because they always had a 20% coupon code up to Size 2 in Pampers. Now that DD is a Size 3, the deals aren't as great BUT the free overnight shipping is great enough that I still order the economy size packages from them anyway. Do you have space in your home to keep a big box of diapers? Buying a bunch at once is generally the way to go but I stick with one economy-size box at a time in our small apartment.
I buy Target Up & Up (equivalent to Enfamil) and that saves us a decent amount. I wasn't getting a lot of coupons from Enfamil and Target still came out cheaper each time anyway, so I just tested Target brand with DD and she took it just fine. I haven't been formula-feeding for very long though so I bet other ladies here have some ideas.
I've used Amazon Subscribe and Save. We've found Luvs to be the least expensive and they work for us. I price compared at BJ's and there was a tiny savings, but for me having them delivered to my door is a huge plus. Anytime I walk in a store, I know I'm grabbing something else.
We also used Target brand formula which was WAYYYY less than Similar of Enfamil.
I agree with PPs on using store brand formula- we use Costco but you could do Target if you don't have a membership to a box store. They all have to meet the same nutritional requirements.
I've only bought diapers so far during these Target sales, but subscribe and save on Amazon is a good deal too.
We switched to Target for formula ASAP. I would highly recommend since it is literally the exact same thing as Similac in particular. (Like, the formula ingredient lists are identical.)
When we were in Pampers, Amazon subscribe and save was the cheapest generally speaking (I calculated it down to the diaper across many stores and sites). We tried Target diapers once around 3 months and it was a disaster. For some reason once she was in bigger sizes, Target worked just fine so we switched to Target brand around 8 mos.
To summarize, Target is life.
Yes! I also have the Target debit card, so 5% + free shipping and I don't have to go in and spend the zillion dollars I otherwise would.

I ditto the Target formula. It's so much cheaper day in and day out, plus 5% off for the Red Card and 5% off for Cartwheel most weeks. I would get a register coupon for an extra $1.50 or $2.00 off every couple of weeks at the register too. I never spent more than $25/week on formula at our peak once we made the switch.
Target is now offering their own subscribe and save program, might be worth a shot. I mostly CD, but I use Costco disposables, which I know is not helpful to you where you are at. I have noticed they are ramping up the baby coupons and text coupons. I would sign up for the coupons they text out for sure.
I find that BRU seems to have good diaper deals from time to time. I just try to always read the Sunday paper and see what's going on for coupons and deals when I'm in the market for more diapers.

I want to like the Target diapers for coat an they are cute, lol, but they don't seem very absorbent to me. Maybe my kid is just a super pee-er

I have bought 95% of my diapers at Target on the "deals". I buy pampers (the only thing that works for him) and usually can get it to between $0.10-.14 per diaper. Coupons.com always has $1.50/$2 off one pampers, combine witha store coupon (target.com) and their "get a $10, $15, $20 giftcard deal" to save the most. I shuddered the one day I had picked up C from daycare early for a pedi appointment and realized I didn't have a diaper bag. I walked accross the street to the grocery store and paid like $10 for the SMALL pack of diapers. Never again!
If I lived in a big city and no car, I would probably stick with diapers.com or amazon for diapers. It's just as easy to have them show up on your doorstep w/little to no effort. Also diapers.com is on ebates, so you can get some $ back.
I find amazon S&S is cheapest on pampers sensitive wipes, beating pricing after coupons for places like target.
I belong to subscribe and save and have done diapers that way, but I can't get my timing with running out, daycare supply, day/overnight, and sizing up to be a science yet. I still run to CVS or the supermarket sometimes, but try to use a coupon.
As for formula we use the regular blue similac ready made and Costco by far has it the cheapest all the time. It comes to $5.50 or so for a 32 oz bottle. Their cases have 8 bottles in them.
The Shop Rite where I do my grocery shopping has baby bucks. Not sure if your grocery store has something similar. You spend a certain amount of baby related items and get $10 off your order.
You may have luck on Amazon searching for "open box" diapers. We have purchased a few boxes that way at a discount. Basically, the outside of the box was damaged, but the casing and diapers themselves were intact.
As suspected, you guys have great advice. Thank you so much for the help. I don't know why I didn't even think about looking into store-brand formula. I have a Target semi-nearby (near enough to take advantage of the diaper deals), so that will definitely work for me.
Velar Fricative, we don't really have storage space for giant boxes of diapers (or, uh, anything) but I'm amazed at how much stuff we've managed to cram into our apartment so far with some creativity.

What I do is take the packs of diapers out of the box (there are usually three packs in one box) and stick each pack wherever there's room (under her crib, dresser, wherever). Much easier than finding a space for a big box!

Another vote for Target here!! I Loooove me some Target.
We have been using Target brand formula since about 2.5 months old. We have never had any issues. We stock up during sales and use coupons, cartwheel and our red card to get additional savings. They also often have a sale with a buy 2 and get a gift card.
I am not picky at all when it comes to diapers. So we use Luvs and Target brand...both are REALLY cheap. But he gets changed so often at daycare we have never had any issues with them not being absorbent enough. I currently have about 5 jumbo boxes in my basement that I bought during the spend $100 get $20 off sale.
They also have that make a $40 store pick up deal, and get $10 off. I plan on doing that this week and buying some more formula to stock up.
