I'm stiff as hell today! I'm not sure if it's because I spent almost all day yesterday couch-bound and then stood for essentially 5 hours at work today or what, but my hips, legs, back, and sides feel like they were run over! I tried to do some yoga stretches but with my f-ed up toe and leg swelling I can barely sit on the floor. I'm thinking I need to be more active so this toe better get over itself fast.
My hips and pelvis area are the worst, and I'm assuming that's normal? I guess my ligaments are stretching and all that jazz. Does anyone else get really stiff and sore where it's like you just had a major work out and now can't move?
I called for a prenatal massage but they only opening they have is Friday afternoon - so much for getting rubbed down so I can get through the last week of summer school. At least I can have a nice ending and start to my month off before September but I swear I would pay anyone any amount of money to come and rub my back and thighs today
I think you're getting to the point in pregnancy where life is exhausting and stuff gets sore. Especially when you're on your feet for that long! Do you have supportive shoes?

yes, I had supportive shoes and compression socks .... which I believe lead to this infected ingrown toenail!
So I'm rocking the flip flops until my big toes is back to normal size and stops oozing
But I can't complain to you about foot issues!!!
Sigh. Life is exhausting, and I'll have to wait until Friday for my massage. bummer. (FWP?)
OH! and let me add - they have me teaching in a chem lab - no chairs to sit in, just high stools. I find it more comfortable to stand than balance on them.

Whatever. I had backaches every day before my injury and you'd better believe that I complained. Labs are the worst--even in 2nd tri I was always sore after teaching a lab!
Does lying down help? I felt like the laziest person, but I would lie down at every chance I got (not at work, obviously, but at home). It was the only way to relieve the soreness.

That's what got me to call for a massage: I came home EXHAUSTED and decided to try and nap. It hurts so much to lay down. Like my sides and lower back start cramping. Who the hell is too sore to lay down?? So I figured I needed to move more and stretch, but that's hard and painful, too.
Waahhh! My husband isn't even home for me to whine to. Maybe I'll go soak in my parents pool, which I'm forever grateful they decided to get fixed and not take down this summer.
OH! and get this gem: So this is the last week, they have a major test that will take up half the class period, and I got an email at 10 pm last night (so AKA 8 am today) that I will be OBSERVED by some guy from some foundation regarding our summer program. Since my foot is f-ed up, they have this big test, and we are all burnt out, I was planning test then MOVIE DAY! So I had to scramble to plan something and show this dude what an awesome chemistry teacher they have. Holy crap. Maybe that's why I'm tense?

Yikes. I hate being observed. It makes me so nervous, even though the observer is usually nice and helpful. I want to look like a rockstar professor dammit, but sometimes I'm not that good.
I was able to pull something out of my ass today. But I'm pissed as hell that I didn't have ANY prior notice. I was told "sorry, he let us know he was coming Friday afternoon". Yeah, so then you email me Friday afternoon so I spend the weekend planning something! The dude stayed for an hour. Ug, movie day tomorrow, for sure.

Oh! I missed that it was today! I've gotten last-minute notice for observations too. It sucks!
Yeah my back gets bad fast if I standup wrong. My shoulders hurt quickly if I reach much. I'm mastering the art of sleeping w/o getting hip sore/stiffness that lasts all AM. Blech.
