Thanks mrspost08 for posting that baby Landon has arrived.
As many of you may recall he arrived a bit earlier than expected.
I had a scheduled c-section for Thursday, July 31st. I woke up this morning at 4:45 am to use the bathroom and I was spotting. H called the emergency line for my doctors office. The doctor on call instructed me to come to the hospital immediately. We arrived about 5:15 am and I was checked in promptly. They were expecting me. I got checked in and the doctor on call told me at this point they were doing the c-section today. There was no point to send me home and being unsure if I would continue to bleed since I was already scheduled to have the baby on Thursday anyway.
I continued to be monitored until they were ready for me. I walked into the cold cold OR, lol. The anesthesiologist was great, she was very informative and gentle throughout the entire process. They brought H in after and the surgery got started. I actually didn't realize they got started. It felt like they were just moving my legs. I felt intense pressure once they got to the part where they were taking him out. It did not hurt but I could feel the pressure. Once they pulled him out, they asked H to see the sex of the baby. Both H and I were super excited to have a baby boy.
Thankfully Landon was alert immediately crying at the top of his lungs. Lol! I'm not a happy crier or super emotional but I did cry tears of happiness when I saw him. That moment was surreal.
Landon is healthy and had to spend no time in the NICU. I'm doing well, a little sore but otherwise pretty good. I'm really tired since I can't keep anything down. I tried jello and that came back up. I will try some broth this evening.
Oh and on the nursing front, since he was born at 36w4d he is super sleepy. He is not interested in latching. I also tried pumping but no colostrum just yet. I will keep trying but since his blood sugar was low we had to supplement with formula. Hopefully my milk will come in and he will start latching.
Thanks for all the kind comments!
Good luck to the rest of the July moms. L was born a day after my moms birthday so she is super excited.
My son had low blood sugar after he was born, and they gave him an ounce of formula that night. We successfully breastfed once we got that pesky latch down for 13 months after that! You'll get there!

Thank you!! I'm glad to hear there is still hope. I'm definitely determined to keep trying and I'm not giving up.
