I need help. I am at the point I don't fit into my regular pants and the rubber band/belly band thing is getting old. Where can I try stuff on? I hate shopping so I haven't been to a mall in years and don't even know where to start.
I like gap and old navy - bonus is free shipping and free returns so you can try them on from the comfort of your own house. I know that's not for everyone though.
I didn't try anything on...I had shopped at LOFT pre-pregnancy so I knew my size and just bought their maternity pants/jeans. They fit great, and have to probably be my favorites so far. I've tried on stuff at Target, and just got some pants today in the mail from J.Crew that I'm not sure I like as well either.
I would definitely recommend the pants from LOFT though
Old Navy. I would try on, though. I ended up a size down...probably because I carried most of my weight in my stomach pre-pregnancy and was buying a bigger size than I really needed for my pants to fit in the waist.
Ditto Old Navy. Not all stores carry maternity clothes, but you can see online which ones do. I also have a pair of Motherhood jeans that I like, which they carry at Gordman's and Macy's in addition to Motherhood stores.
I've gotten a few things from Ross. Their maternity section is small, but it's like the only place other than Target here that carries maternity in store.
I have old navy jeans from my cousin but its too hot to wear them. I do have work pants from gap and love them! They are pricey so wait for sales. Some girls also like j crew but I got a few pairs at a cosignment so havent bought any others brand new.
The larger mall near me has Gap Maternity in store, so I went and tried on a bunch there. I have been rotating the same 4 essential maternity tanks from Gap each week and they have held up great. I never ended up with any of their pants, but I did get a maternity skirt that I love too.
The Macys in the big mall had a large maternity section, so I got some work pants from A Pea in the Pod there.
I think I also got a pair of work pants from Motherhood Maternity, and a pair of khakis from Burlington Coat Factory.

I was not a fan of the old navy maternity jeans, and I *kind of* liked their khakis. I have 1 pair of maternity dress pants, but I don't recall where I got them (probably Kohls or some such place).
You can also try Motherhood, Kohls, Zulily, and Target. I've been VERY happy with my Target jeans.
I got mine from Motherhood, but I really liked the Gap ones too. I did not find ON to be comfortable. Their bands felt super tight and I was barely showing at the time.
I got a couple pairs from Target when they had a big sale on maternity clothes through cartwheel. I got a pair of full panel and a pair of demi. So far I do not enjoy the full panel. Both are pretty hot right now so I am still wearing a lot of skirts/dresses.
I will probably go get a really nice pair from Pea in the Pod at some point, probably when the full panel becomes more comfortable and I am more certain of my size.
Thanks again ladies, I found out that one of the local ON carries some maternity stuff and it fit really well. So i got one pair and ordered a few more from online (there was a 30% off online). At least i can get through the week with some pants that fit.
