Not a lot going on here today. Just running Betty to the vet tonight for her annual shots, groceries getting delivered, a gym class and some laundry. Oh and I need to go pick up my dry cleaning too.
Gawd, playing a grown up is so lame. I remember when I was a kid and thought being a grown up meant that you could stay up as late as you want and eat all of the ice cream you want. Now, all I want to do is go to bed by 9:30 and I can't eat ice cream because it goes straight to my thighs. Someone lied to me along the way about what it means to be a grown up.
@uwhuskygirl but grownups get wine. So that makes up for it but really I remember thinking how lucky adults are not to have homework and how they must have so much spare time...l.o.freaking l.
Nothing really planned but a trip out to west Seattle. Other than that i have "spare time" aka cleaning/keeping the baby and dog alive
Yeah, being a grownup is overrated some days. Sure we get wine, which pretty much makes it mostly worth it, but said wine comes back to bite if its a work night, so... Yeah. Overrated.
Tonight begins the part of marathon training where my midweek run gets longer. Not sure about 7 miles in warm weather after working all day but hoping for the best.
Being a grown up is totally over-rated. I just finished paying our upcoming bills. It's sad to see the money go to pay for silly things like water and electricity.
I have a day with almost no meetings today which is shocking. I hope to get some writing done which I am very far behind on.

I like being a grown-up. Bills aside, being able to have ice cream for dinner is pretty rad.
I'm just updating to let you all know that Baby Rogo is still holding out. I'm in meetings all day today (yay, admissions!) and probably won't have time to post, and didn't want mrslefty to go too crazy with the rumors

I think being an adult is pretty cool most of the time. I like being married, having my own house, and my own rules. I like being able to choose. I also love being able to do things differently with Tman than how I was raised. BUT, the bills and responsibility stuff? That's all for the birds.
Today is my "day off," but it's going to be busy with lots of running around today. Tman has piano and swimming lessons this evening, too. We are going to be exhausted.
I'm so annoyed with work stuff already - and it's not even 9 yet.
Adding to my annoyance, why does EVERYONE have to keep asking about me having babies? I'm so annoyed that just because we're married people think we need to jump on the baby wagon. Can't having an 8, almost 9 year old be enough?

I feel you
Co-signed, five years into marriage, no kids and happy.
Also, Tiff, it seems like you got married last week. I realize its been longer but can't you just enjoy the newlywed phase? People suck.

I don't mind being a grown up too much, but I know it will suck a little more whenever H and I are no longer DINKs and have more serious responsibilities.
I've raved about my H's new job in the past. There is only one thing I hate about it. He gets to sleep in an extra 30 minutes, and leave home about 30 minutes after I do. It's thrown off our morning routine, and 75% of the time I am rushing out the house in a fit because he took too long to get out of the bed and shower. He's one of those people who "need" to shower in the mornings, but it sucks because it takes away from my getting ready time since we only have one bathroom. All this is making me resentful, especially since he gets home 2+ hours before I do.
I was super motivated at work yesterday, and got a ton done. Unfortunately, I fear I may have used up all my productivity. Definitely not so motivated today.
Tonight is a date with the young guy. Our flirty texts over the past week or so definitely have me looking forward to it. I think the plan is to cook dinner together... Should be fun.

Is this code for eat sushi off of each other's naked bodies?
Morning. Having an impromptu breakfast with a friend, yay! Then work. Im gonna try and plan an activity outside for the kids so we can all enjoy the sunshine.
The benefits of being s grownup definitely trump the tesponsibilities in my book, but im coming from a no kids/healthy parents perspective.

So EA is officially retiring Sims2 and is giving away the full everything (expansion and stuff packs) for online download. I had all the EPs but only half the SPs and had needed to reinstall anyway on the new computer. I booted it up last night and I'm so excited to play again! Instead of 30-60 minute load times, I was looking 5-10!
Being an adult is meh but I'll take it over being under my mom's thumb. Perks: a bigger "allowance," setting your own rules at home. Cons: I prefer school to work, I swear I had sooo much more free time even with the homework and school then I do at home. (Mostly an illusion, but I blame Internets and constant awareness I have chores I should be doing all the time.) Plus, more friends, more playing, long summer breaks and even a week at Christmas and Spring.
My housemate should be back today. She and her boyfriend finally made the big break last week, poor girl, so she'll now be living with us full time. The only negative is that no more naked weekends of wandering around after my shower

WHATTT??!?! ... ehh..but i moved on to sims3 a couple years ago... i prefer its interface....ughh... I wants it all!!!
nothing too exciting here either, in all day meetings, meeting the mattress warranty people tonight, trying to hit the gym and make dinner, and perhaps make a grocery run.
My life is boring. More cleaning today. I also need to go pull some weeds but I'm waiting for J's nap so she stays out of the heat and so I don't have to go pull her stroller out of the car and put air in the tire. (read:i'm lazy). Hopefully I can speed pull and won't be out there to long, pretty sure I'm going to count it as my work out for the day though.
I'm not sure about whether I prefer being a grownup to being a kid, but it definitely beats being a teen. It's so nice not having to impress everyone all the time and just doing my own thing.
My life is pretty boring right now...just wrapping up things at work and getting cleaning done at home to get ready for baby to come soon. Thankfully I got my boss to agree that after this week I'll only be coming into the office on days I have doctors appointments (so once a week) and otherwise working from home. Will be really nice to not have to commute from Bainbridge to Bellevue 3x a week.

I don't really have time to check in today. This week is full of highs and lows already. My boss is back to making me angry. Then I found out someone charged $2140 dollars at Tulip Casino on my credit card on Saturday, so now I get to deal with that. Fun times.

I wonder if the Casino would have footage of the person using your card.
When H's CC was stolen there was footage at a gas station of someone using his card. They said they would use it as evidence since she was caught red handed using another stolen CC. I don't know what happened to the person, but I like to think that she's in jail.
Oh no karebear219!! That's terrible! Did they get your actual card? Or just use the number? I hope it gets worked out quickly!
They just used the number. I think because of the $ amount they asked me a lot more questions than usual. I forget what the threshold is for a higher theft charge.

Yeah, being a grown up can suck. When the kids are wanting to stay up late, I tell them I'd love to be the kid and go to bed at 8:45 and have them be the adult and go downstairs to do the dishes, pick up the house, make lunches, fold laundry, feed the pets, etc They usually change their mind quickly.
Busy day (week) here. Long meeting at work, then a quick run before taking the kids to soccer academy practice. One has it 5-6pm, one from 6-7pm. Then to Ray's for H's birthday dinner and home for presents.
